The ROCKY Rams Horn Logger Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot is designed for those who require maximum comfort, safety, and durability on the job. Standing at a robust nine inches, this boot not only provides essential protection with its composite toe but also meets ASTM F2413 standards for impact and compression. This means your feet are safeguarded against heavy objects that can cause injury while working.

Featuring an oil- and slip-resisting rubber outsole complemented by a two-inch defined heel, the boot ensures stability on wet or slippery surfaces. The direct attachment of the outsole to the PU midsole enhances durability, making these boots a long-term investment for any hardworking individual.

Comfort is king in the ROCKY Rams Horn boots, thanks to the innovative Rocky Rebound cushioning technology. With an EnergyBed footbed embedded with memory foam, you’ll enjoy unparalleled comfort throughout your workday, reducing fatigue significantly.

Additionally, a fiberglass shank offers extra support and stability, which is particularly beneficial when walking on uneven terrain or standing for long periods. These boots are engineered to withstand electrical hazards, adding an extra layer of safety for those working in environments where electrical risks are present.

Detailed Review

When it comes to footwear that can endure the rigors of outdoor labor or harsh working conditions, the ROCKY Rams Horn Logger Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot stands out as an impressive option. Start with the fit – these boots hug your feet snugly without being overly restrictive, which is crucial for long hours on the job. However, it's worth noting that some wearers reported a brief adjustment period during which they found the fit slightly stiff.

The waterproof feature has garnered positive feedback from users, especially those who often find themselves in wet conditions. The Vapor Pass breathable membrane genuinely allows for airflow while keeping moisture out, ensuring your feet remain both dry and comfortable.

On the ground, the slip-resistant rubber outsole provides excellent traction on wet and oily surfaces, which is a game changer for workers in slippery environments. Additionally, the lightweight nature of the boot belies its sturdy design; you won't feel weighed down after a full day of wear.

In terms of aesthetics, while the style leans towards practicality rather than fashion-forwardness, it retains a rugged charm that many blue-collar workers appreciate. Overall, if you're searching for a dependable, comfortable, and protective work boot, the ROCKY Rams Horn Logger will not disappoint.

Decent boot

This is a decent boot. I got them through a warehouse deal so I paid less than half of what the going price seems to be "new". At that price they were a no-brainer. They are a much better boot than anything you will find in the $150 price range. My normal everyday boots are Danner Quarrys which run north of $300. I also have a pair of White Smoke Jumpers. I share this only to give you an idea of the type of boot I am used to.My initial impression is that they are fairly rugged and sturdy. I generally wear black boots but I like the overall look of them. I feel the leather is a little bit thinner than some of the boots I'm used to but more durable than a more entry level boot. They do stuff very easily. Dragging your fingernail across them will result in a lighter color even if there is not a noticeable abrasion to the leather. I believe they call this type of leather crazy horse. I went ahead and put some mink oil on them and they are so far waterproof at least two or three inches up to the kilties. I like the fact that they are very light in terms of actual weight. Granted this is relative and being viewed through a lens of someone used to boots with steel or alloy toes and steel shanks.A feature I do not like about them is the fact that the tongue is not fully leather. The black part of the tongue that can be seen in one of my close-up pictures is what appears to be a neoprene like material. Almost like a wet suit type feel. I also am not a fan of that reflective stripe that goes around the heel area of the boot. I feel that will be an area of weakness. They have taken a little bit of breaking in to get comfortable but no more than any other heavy duty boot. Maybe even less. Overall they are a decent boot but probably a step below some of the made in USA options that can be had for another $50 or so. I'm not disappointed in my purchase by any means but if I were paying regular price I would have spent probably another $100 and gotten one of the other boots I am familiar with.I am very hard on boots so time will tell how these hold up. I'll try to remember to update this review in 6 months or so.
