When it comes to military and tactical boots, comfort, durability, and performance are key factors to consider. The Rocky Men’s S2V Predator Boot excels in all these areas.
In terms of comfort, the Dri-Lex® lining effectively wicks moisture away, helping to keep your feet dry during prolonged use. This feature, combined with the Rocky® Air-Port™ footbed that cushions each step, makes for a supportive fit ideal for long hours on your feet.
The durability of this boot is evident in its triple-stitched construction. Made from flash-resistant leather and robust CORDURA® nylon, the Rocky S2V Predator holds up exceptionally well even in harsh environmental conditions. Its PTFE coating further enhances its flame resistance, making it suitable for various tactical situations.
One notable feature is the advanced S2V Sieve™ technology, which sets this boot apart. This innovative technology ensures that air circulates while water is efficiently drained out, allowing you to quickly dry your boots after crossing streams or getting caught in the rain.
Lastly, the Roll-Stop Ankle Stability feature significantly decreases the chances of ankle injuries, providing essential support when navigating uneven terrains. However, potential buyers should note that the boot may have a slight break-in period before reaching optimum comfort.

Very comfortable with no break in time required. Light yet still solid. Waterproof and have a great feel. The treads make you feel you could walk straight upa wall with their great grip.
Love these boots. I was skeptical if they would be as comfortable as my Oakley Field Assault boots I’ve been buying the last 13 years. Would’ve bought another pair of Oakley’s, but Amazon didn’t have them in black, so I started looking for new possibilities. They’re still breaking in and almost as flexible as the Oakley’s are. The grip of the tread is superb in the field and urban environments. I’ve worn them in the snow the first day I got them and they did great. Even with the venting, my feet didn’t get wet, and they gripped well on ice from snowpacks. They’re warm enough for an active person and should be tolerable in the summer. I’m definitely happy with my choice on these Predators. They even lace up easily and they look great. I can wear these to hit the field, or clean them up snd hit the town at night.
Holding up well against rough mountain terrain. One of the easier boots to keep polished as well. Good ankle support for uneven, rocky, and rolling terrain. Will be adding a second pair to the closet.
Awesome boots, those are my 4th.
It’s nice and comfortable. But not as breathable compared to garmonts. Still give it a 5
Just like the ones I wore in the army, but black. Forgot how sturdy they are when new. Feels like an ankle brace.
I move like I am barefooted but without the discomfort of feeling the terrain under my feet
I've loved rocky boots for a long time. But the pair i had recieved was defective and had hard pieces sticking out on the inside of the boot that felt like plastic sticking into my foot. I have the same boot as this in coyote brown in the same size that i got this black one and the brown ones do not have this issue. I made sure to break them in for a couple weeks as well so that is also not an issue. I had asked for a replacement item since i had gotten this one on sale and didnt want to return it because i like the boots still i just cant wear them because of the issue. The flat out denied a replacement and said the only way i could replace them would be if i returned and rebought them which would have costed me 60 extra dollars. What terrible service from the seller.
