Held up to welding and machining.I wear Rocky shoes hunting, relaxing (365) Nothing compares to Rocky quality, comfort.
These boots are very comfortable and look great. The first day I wore them to work i did have some issues with the lacing system but that was easy resolved by skippng the off set rungs between the lower eyelets and the upper speed eyelets Firt off it was almost impossible to lace them snugly with the way they were laced and when after getting them somewhat snugged up i found they were then difficult to loosen the laces enough to remove them after work. I like my boots to go on and off quickly. After relacing and skipping the center offset lace they do just that. I am very happy with these boots boots now. Oh yea if you ask me taking the laces out of the little slit in the tunge is also a no brainer. What's the point of speed laces if you can't use them???
I have x-wide feet and these were a little too wide in wide width. Got the regular and just right. Solved a back of heel bursitis. The 8 inches is great to lock around your calf and prevent heel from rubbing on back of boot. They’re on the heavy side, but great for rough terrain or work or walking. Dry feet always and not too hot. I have 3 pair now including the winter insulated. Those are also fantastic. Laces unravel after awhile leaving you with the inner very strong black lace. Still works though. Will replace those with paracord laces soon.

Tool a while to break in but now is a very comfortable boot. Seems to be well made .The lacing system is a bit funky but all in all this boot will do the job and last a long time. Tread seems to have a self cleaning function by design that sheds mud easily which in my usage is a plus.
Incredible boot for the price! Does the job and keeps my feet dry and warm. I did replace the insoles with my orthodics and what a game changer! I originally ordered my regular shoe size and was swimming in them but thankfully was able to send them back and get the right size (a whole size down). I have wide feet and since these ran narrow in the toe box I ordered the wide width.
These boots were comfortable right out of the box. It only took less than a week to break them in. They are good for hunting in cool weather and for moderate hiking. They keep my feet dry in rainy weather. These are a good all around boot. I would buy them again.
