Very comfy right out of the box. Seems well made and got it for a great price.
I have worn these boots for two weeks now and feel I can give an accurate review.Out of the box they feel substantial. Not heavy at all-just very well put together. They are stiff were they need to be. The stitching is precise and the craftsmanship excellent. The supplied shoe laces are too long and of the nylon variety. I’ll ditch those for some flat boot laces. Not a big deal. The sole will pick up small pebbles occasionally. The fit is true to size. The toe box is roomy without feeling like the boot is too big-just right. I had very minimal break in. The only discomfort I had initially was near the outside ankle area and that was minimal for a day. I stripped the factory finish with hot water and a brush and applied ample amounts of Lincoln stain wax. They polish up extremely well and do not shed polish. I hit them at the start of my shift with my shine rag and they look great. I’ve been a uniformed officer for the majority of my 22 year LE career and have worn Danners, Bates, Hi-Tec, you name it. I wanted a six inch lace-to-toe boot. I didn’t feel like dishing out $300 plus dollars for the heavy Danner Patrol boot but was reluctant to purchase these only because I couldn’t find ANY reviews on them. However, I took the chance as I have had good luck with Rocky boots in the past. I’m glad I did. These are easily one of the best purchases in work footwear I have made. I have no complaints and highly recommend them.
The tongue of these boots hurts the ankles. There is too much fabric where the tongue stretches at the ankle area. Update: after wearing them a couple of weeks they finally broke in and a very comfortable now.
I'm pretty hard on my boots. I'm on my feet at least 10 hours a day. I usually have to replace my boots once every year. These lasted about 10 months before the zipper broke
Comfortable and easy to get on my feet
