The Rocky Terra Suspension footbed is a highlight, providing cushioning that absorbs shock, especially during longer treks. This feature makes the boots suitable for all-day wear without discomfort.
With a shaft height of 16 inches and high abrasion snake guard, these boots offer impressive protection against environmental hazards such as sharp objects and snake bites. The sidewall stitch construction enhances durability, ensuring they withstand rough terrains.
Despite being waterproof, the use of GORE-TEX technology means these boots won’t trap moisture. This breathability is crucial for maintaining comfort throughout different weather conditions.

I think they ran pretty true to size, but a half size up might allow for a heavier duty sock. I wore them for 10+ hours my first day wearing them, hiking around the desert, and they were surprisingly comfortable. I ordered a gel insert, because I expected to need it, but the insoles that came with the boots seemed more comfortable.
Great snake boots. So much more comfortable than my last pair that actually was from the same company. We have eastern diamond backs around here. I had confidence in the yard until I saw the story about the delivery guy that was bit above the knee. 🥺
I was skeptical that these would truly be waterproof, but they really are. I use them extensively for fishing and have stood in the water for hours up nearly to the top of the boot and have never had as much as a drop of water intrusion. Unlike other reviewers, I found the size to be true, and with some insole inserts they are as comfortable as any other boot. Very impressed; would recommend.
What I got seemed to be a bit darker than the stock photos, would buy again, they are comfortable and warm, yet didn't sweat
I only noticed after receiving them the name of the store was called discount boots LOL, but I don't remember the listing saying that you may receive the boots with possible aesthetic damage. I'm not even going to return or have them replaced because being that this store is a discount boot store the pair they would reship me would likely have the same scuff marks. It's basically just top scuffs, removing some of the brown leather dye which can easily be fixed with a similar color of boot polish. Also in my opinion anyone that buys these boots will be getting them scuffed up anyways, so it's not a functional issue and I am happy with my purchase. I did message them and asked for a partial refund, I wouldn't care if it was $10 just something for good faith.I will update if I hear back from them to let you all know what they said.
These boots are nice but they come marred due to the packaging used as stuffing to keep the shape of the boot. If Rocky would use a different insert as stuffing the sharp edges would not rub on the top of the boot and it's presentation would be vastly improved. The boots don't have a way to adjust for different calf sizes and there is a lot of excess fabric for those of us with thinner calves that is unnecessary. What rocky should have done was add a way to adjust for different calve sizes so that the excess fabric could be put to use or made these special order to fit no one else but the recipient. As the boot is now it bad middle ground. Even though these boots fit small my ankle still shifts around inside the boot which is another sizing issue. The boots are tight in the toe box but loose around the ankles. I suspect they will be slipping around while out hiking, climbing or running on the trail. I don't know about you but I bought these boots to put them through the paces not bring them to the office. I expect them to be durable, fit well, and be comfortable. So far only some of these things have been met. Durability seems to be the only thing these boots have going for them. The fabric feels thick and rigid, I doubt a snake will be able to bite through it especially if you pair these with a pair of boot cut pants. The boots also have handles sown into the upper portion so you can slip them on without having to use the zipper each time. If I could find a pair of pants that would fit over them I would wear them everywhere. The circumference of the upper portion is 22" not exact but in that ballpark.
I've had a few Danner snake boots and this Rocky Men's Outback beats the shot out of them. Danner boots are never waterproof and they hardly last. These boots 'make me happy'. - Simple Jack ref
Not ce looking for what they are needed for.
