I have bought two pairs of these for my husband since he likes them so much. They are a sturdy good looking boot. I did downsize half a size since leather stretches some. He likes the fit. My husband isn't one to wear really thick socks with them, so if you do I would stick with your normal size.
Comfortable as long as you don't plan on a nature hike. Worked against a big ol' copperhead but hurt my danged feet by the time I got to my stand (about 400 yards).
Boots are made really well. My husband loves them.
