When shoveling, the design takes the impact, not my foot. These are my favorite boots! I ordered a 2nd pair, to keep next to another door, on another floor. LOVE the hook at the ankle/foot location. All of my other brand boots have an eyelet. This made the fit SO much better. The boot stays fitted to me, as to spreading out when the boot is bent. Better ankle support. PLUS the time it saves! (Now it's not an effort taking off and putting on. With the eye, I have to loosen ALL of the laces, to get my foot out or in. With the hook, none.) You wouldn't think that one hook would make such a difference, but it does!I haven't had this boot very long, but I can already tell, it will out last the other brands I have. Iron Clad is a good name for them. I've had them this summer and working/wearing them in 90 temps, my feet do not get hot. After hours of digging, my feet feel fine. They're not very old, but so far, waterproof. I can't feel the steel toe. They support my foot well.I'm SO very pleased with my Rocky Boots! I have other brands (and they sit at the door. I go for my Rocky's), but now this is the last brand I'll buy. I'm happy I came across them while looking for boots. I hadn't hear of them, so I didn't know what I was missing. I want to tell everyone about them! They are the most comfortable and well constructed boot. Made for real work. Made with people on mind. Well worth the money!
These boots are by far the best I've owned yet. I would give them 4.8 out of five stars if possible, only deductions are because; they are a little heavy and do cause my feet to get warm. However, they are very comfortable, sturdy and look great. I wore these while walking over 7 miles on a business trip and my feet felt great after. I use them for masonry work and they hold up great. i would absolutely recommend these boots. Some people complained they fit tight or the toes are to tight, even with double socks I did not find this to be an issue at all. I would recommend boot grease just to help protect the leather depending on what you do for work.
I would buy these a size up than your normal size. I wear a 10.5 wide so that is what I ordered, they are a little tight. Great boots though. Tough as nails. A little on the heavy side but you can beat these boots up and they keep performing great. I highly recommend these for tough work environments. Not really for long hikes.
I have wore these boots for a week and the are so uncomfortable, My feet are achingwith in a few hours of wearing them... I wish I could return them!!!!!!!
First day wearing them, very comfortable and durable. They don't feel cheaply made. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 is because my heel doesn't sit in the cup so my foot is constantly rubbing up and down.Update: my boots won't stop constantly squeeking. I've added baby powder and that still won't help.
Third time I bought this brand. Seem to be about the only boot that will last a year in my construction field.
I love soft spots in these boots. Im on concrete for 10 to 12 hours standing / fast walking... welding, grinding, washing. These hold up to the abuse
I have always bought Rocky Brand boots because of their superior quality. And these are no exception, not to mention they look pretty good. Unfortunately for me the toe area is a little too tight and after just one day of work it caused me a lot of discomfort because my big toe would rub on the side of the steel toe insert every time I took a step. I am unfortunately returning them for the wider option available hopefully this will solve my issue.
