I have wide feet, these boots are great. Arch support is good. Great energy return. Solid craftsmnaship. In the images you see my first pair worn approximately 400 days in the Sierra Nevada mountains next to my second pair, new. I am writing this as I have a third pair on order and am happy with soending $150 on boots as they last.
Bought first pair for A TV riding. Pegs were tearing up my foam sole boots. The soles are tough. Now riding motorcycles with these. They last 2-3 years with lots of abuse. A little heavy, but really tough and comfortable. Easy to lace up and waterproof too.
The boots are well made
Fit true to size and are quite comfortable
I'm very happy with my purchase that I made on Amazon, thank you.
I purchased these as a friend who has the same boots told me that these are the most comfortable boots he has worn and that they are 'broken-in' like a well-worn boot from the day you put them on.Unfortunately for the pair that I received this is far from the truth. With the pair I received the left boot inner lining has aggressive stitching around the fold of the waterproofing lip and rubs annoyingly on my inner ankle area and I cant currently wear the boot without padding this area to stop the boot from causing pain when I am wearing them. I am also aware of the fold with the right foot boot, but the fit of the boot for my right foot is just more annoying and a bit uncomfortable Vs painful and unwearable (without padding protection) like the left foot is. I have used thick socks and thin socks with no change in how the boots feel. The boots also feel quite heavy compared to Doc Martin's or other boots I have had in the past, however they do seem very well made and the leather quality is very good so I am going to give them a fair go and persevere through the pain of wearing them and hope that they break-in over the next few weeks as my Doc Martins took several weeks to properly break-in - this said the Doc's never hurt my inner ankles at the stitched inner-tounge fold like the Rocky's are currently doing. If the Rocky's don't break-in and are still painful to wear in 2-3 more weeks I guess I have to ditch them and pay the extra premium price and try an Aariat boot. If I think of it I'll try to update this review at a later time
I’ve worn rocky boots most of my life. That’s with hunting and in the military. I tried these boots on and they hurt my feet at the beginning, like most rocky boots do for me. I like a snug tight fit to my feet. After breaking them in, I loved them.
Good boot. Daily use I get 2 years out of this brand. This is my 2nd pair. I plan on ordering a 3rd pair only in the new lighter brown, and with a steel toe. At about 18-20 months, as with every boot, they tighten up, and don't repell water as well. Usually apply boot water proofing at that point. But after 2 years I use them as "knock Around boots". And order a new pair. I still have my original pair. But it's time to toss them, these will become my knock around pair. And I'm ordering on set just like them !
