This is the 3rd pair of these boots I have purchased. I have flat feet so the size 10W is perfect for me. I wear these for work(purchased the boot saver which adheres to the toe) to prevent the premature wear of the toe. I kneel a lot at work (mostly to work on small refrigeration units but sometimes for pay raises) and these save the toes. Otherwise these boots are very durable. On some job sites (Hotel Del Coronado, for example) I walk 4-5 miles a day in these boots. Not a problem at all. The composite toe protects the feet but are also much lighter in weight than steel toe boots. The thick sole allows me to walk through inch deep water without soaking my feet and the two types of rubber prevent me from slipping on almost any surface. I've been on wet vinyl roofs, greasy kitchens, and other slippery environs - these boots provide a no-slip grip everywhere I go. I normally don't leave such lengthy reviews, but I can't say enough to promote these boots. I bought an extra pair for hiking and riding my motorcycle.
I work as a UPS driver and I love the boots.
Good boot. I'm a Bates kinda guy, but I needed safety toes for a new post. Bates were only available with the side zipper, and I hate side zip boots. These boots were a little tight, but broke in before the first day was half over. Unfortunately the post didn't work out, so I returned these boots after a day. If I could afford to, I would have kept them. I'd say they are definitely a good boot and a worthy investment.
Fits as expected. Wearer has job with lots of walking and says they are comfortable.
These boots are very comfortable to wear while standing all day, and have a very nice padded shaft. The included insoles are also very nice, with a lot of padding that feels pretty good to step on. They feel like there's really no real break in time, as I put these on, went and worked my shift on my feet all day, and came home with no aches. I did layer an extra insole in each boot just for extra support, though they certainly aren't needed. The size was just a little smaller than normal, though the width was just right. That being said, order a size or half size up, and keep your width the same as usual. Great boots for the price, especially for work.
This is a satisfactory boot in terms of design and construction but difficult fom to obtain a comfortable size.I ordered in consideration of reviews which advised that the boots ran small and suggested ordering a full size larger. I did. I am now on my third order: from 11.5 to 10.5 - and they are still too big. My regular size, 10, would have worked.Of more concern though is the quality control: Although marked 'medum' width, the left boot is clearly much wider than the right ... in appearance, feel and actual measurement. So, I'm wearing these 'too big, mismatched' boots with additional insoles and heavy socks but disappointed in Rocky.
This is my second pair of Rockys. The quality is excellent, durability is incredible, not to mention looks and feel are all in this one. Would definitely invest for LEO, or Military.
I have an earlier pair of the tan leather Rocky Alpha Force shoe, and was always bummed out that they stopped making them. Then I saw that they released a new line of Alpha Force and immediately bought this pair and a pair of the higher ankle zipper version. Unfortunately, these are no where near the build quality or fit of the original Alpha Force shoes. The finish sewing of the shoes is very cheap, you can see the inner padding sticking out all along the seems. Additionally, as pointed out by another reviewer, the sizing on these are at least a full size too small depending on the width of your foot. I ordered 1/2 size, larger based on the previous review because my feet are fairly narrow, but even then, my toe comes right up to the front of the shoe and the way they fit is all over the place. Tight at the top front of the angle, loose around the heel, yet still pushing my foot up towards the toe. These shoes had to be designed on paper and never actually fitted. They are cheap, imported/contract build imitations of the original, suited only for casual wear, because "they look cool with jeans".
