These boots are very comfortable and provide great ankle support. They are well padded particularly underneath your feet-kinda like walking on a cloud. The uppers are well made and the soles are flexible enough to provide excellent traction. The boots came well shined and you could easily spit shine them if you so desire. They will keep your feet warm in cold weather- I don't know know how hot they may get in the summer as I haven't had this model that long. I've always worn the 911's but they have been discontinued. I had no problem wearing the 911's during summer in Phoenix.I tried on several other brands including Bates and 511, but the Rockys are far more comfortable for me. I have been wearing Rockys for over 20 years and I have always found them to be easy on your feet and well made.
Boots are very lightweight and comfortable. They are well constructed and the leather shines easily and resists scratches from my K-9. These boots are truly waterproof. I conducted a roadside interview of a driver that came to a stop in a large puddle of water. After approximately 5 minutes of standing in the puddle of water that was nearly to the top of the boot, my socks and the inside of the boot were dry. Great traction on the ice too.
I walk 10 miles each day delivering mail and these boots are comfortable all day. The base of the sole is wider and longer on this style than the same shoe size Rocky 5019, 5015, 5010 styles and are too large for my overshoes or rubbers to fit over so I can only wear them when it's reasonably dry out ( or buy a larger overshoe just for these, no ).
I liked them so much I bought a second pair. Price is awesome for a side zip waterproof boot. The tread is really good. Polish up pretty nice too. The fit is awesome for my size 11, great support and my feet feel less fatigued. I'm a canine (k9) handler and spend hours on my feet per shift in hot and cold weather. I have been in ankle deep water no problem. 2* approved!
Excellent midsole and outsole ratio. Some boots have a very little slice of rubber outsole. The Rocky Alpha Force boots have a thick rubber outsole below a very good midsole, as you will see in the pictures that I sent.On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, I started wearing the boots to work, to start breaking them in. Now it's a matter of time to see how long they'll last me, since I walk a lot on rough concrete and on asphalt pavement at my job.
My husband loves the height/support on his ankles and loves how he doesn't have to mess with any side zippers. The fit is a tad loose but with thick military winter socks it's a good fit. So easy to polish up even in our NEO weather.
I would purchase them again.
I own 7 pairs of them a doctor once told me you need a different pair of shoes for each day so the supports in them don't wear out before the rest of the shoe. as you can imagine I could not afford to buy all 7 at one time so I had to get them over time. The first pair fit so well and were so comfortable I had to get more but it is still the best looking pair I have the 7th pair is already falling apart and so is 2-6 something different is wrong with each one of them from the side ripping out, zipper braking, leather cracking, laces braking. I don't know if they changed there materials, plants or what but none of them have lasted like the 1st pair. No matter how much you oil or polish I can not keep the shine on them like when they are new even on the first pair. If the price comes down on them I might look at buying other pair but walmart special lasts just as long and a quarter the price. I do really like the style though. The 1st pair is just over 3 years old now the 7th pair 8 months and remember each pair is only wore once a week.
