These shoes are beautiful--no one can believe that I have my steel toes on! I have to wear suits and nicer trousers for my work, and these shoe totally eliminate needing to keep two kinds of footwear at work. They are comfortable also; nice cushioning in the foot bed. As for sizing- even when you order a half size larger, the toe may be tight (as in my case). If you bear with the shoe, it will stretch a bit and become more comfortable.
Wow, I thought I accidentally ordered the narrow/normal width. I ordered the wide, and they are still so painful at the toes. The size is perfect, but the metal toe digs in and cut my toes after 8 hours. Also, i have a prominent ankle bone that wore until it bled. Not a good shoe at all, and i really, really wanted a nice professional non-boot looking work shoe. I've never had problems with a shoe hurting too much, but this one is more than i care to "just deal with".
These are a cute shoe if you need to dress up at a work site. But it’s not comfortable at all. Tried 2 sized sent both back. The try before you buy feature is wonderful.
First off these look like normal loafers and aren’t bulky at all. The appearance is great. The size is definitely a little large. I have rockport work boots in a 7.5 and I should have gotten a 6.5 in these. The 7s are a little large BUT I put insoles in them so they helps. However you do have to either weee bootcut jeans or no show socks. This is my third day wearing them and I am getting blisters pretty bad on the back of my foot AND the tops bc the no show socks don’t cover the whole top. After breaking them in they will be better but there’s is a break in period. Overall I would recommend
Started at Crown Equipment and these shoes are perfect for my job and comfy!
I'm glad these were try before you buy because I never would have been able to wear them. When I first tried them on, my toes were tight in the box. That I can tolerate. What was too painful was the side of the shoe digging into the bottom of my ankle bone. After only two steps I was hurting, took them off right away and put them right back into the box they came in. The next day UPS was taking them back to Amazon.
Unless you have very narrow feet, do not buy. The shoes are mis-labelled. I ordered a 10-Wide and the fit is more like a 10-Narrow. It's pity, because the quality, craftsmanship and materials are excellent. It's just the sizing that's all wrong.
Great shoes - super comfy and easy to wear all day. The shoes run large.
