Great 6 inch boot. I have lots of foot problems (i.e. collapsing arches, peripheral neuropathy, etc.) So, am a "hard fit". These boots fit like a glove since coming out of the box. As a matter of fact, I have them on right now. xoxoxo
The shoe is rather comfortable however, it squeaks on certain floor surfaces which is annoying.
These are really nice boots in terms of comfort. They are a bit on the small side but fit. The next size up is too large.
Very uncomfortable. I’ve owned Rockports before always comfortable not this one ...
I purchased these in an effort to try to find a replacement postal approved shoe since the new balance 702 was discontinued. I have wider feet and it's almost impossible to find something that fits decently that's also postal approved. These shoes have a pretty nice footbed and feel better than most postal shoes when walking. I didn't have them long enough to test out the footbed to see how much it will compress during the day and how long the recovery for the footbed takes. Most Rockport shoes compress fairly well during the day and only take a day or so to recover. That being said, if this is like MOST Rockports, it's best to get 2 pair and switch between them to let the footbeds rest and the shoes dry out before wearing them again. The leather upper is soft but the toe boxes were considerably more narrow than other wide shoes I've owned. In my post office, I wasn't able to find anyone that had ordered any postal approved Rockport products and had any success with them. The construction seemed to be pretty good and there were no loose strings and no obvious manufacturer blemishes/defects. The shoestrings were fairly good quality although quite thin. Likely I would replace these pretty quickly if I kept the shoes. The tread lugs were more than ample to walk around in the snow/mud/rain and feel fairly confident however they weren't as deep as some of the Rocky or Thorogood boots so if you're needing something for more rugged terrain, you might want to look at those options.I only tried them on around my house and didn't get out into the world with them. I returned these because they just didn't have the fit that I was looking for. I felt like my feet were being squished and again, I'm looking for something as roomy as the discontinued new balance shoes.
The boots fit my feet perfect just as mentioned why I bought them I walk alot so lots of miles are being put on the sole of these shoes and after my shift my feet feels great it takes a couple of days to break them but after that very comfortable.
Nice fit for a guy with big wide feet who spends his day on them. Good arch support and good ankle support. No break-in period for me. Put them on and walked three miles. Comfortable!
Like comfort. We're them at work
