When it comes to comfort, these pumps do not disappoint. The 2 1/2-inch block heel offers sufficient height without sacrificing stability. Finally found a pair of shoes for everyday wear. I’ve been looking high and low for that perfect pair of shoes for business casual days at work. I finally found them right here…woohoo. Fit is good, cushioning is great, and comfort is good too. My feet sweat and tend to slide around in shoes but not in these. I also walk up and down the stairs quite a bit at work too and have no problem with these. Great buy!
These sandals are super cute, and the sizing is right on. The heel height is perfect and footbed is comfy. Unfortunately all I can do in these is stand. Every time I walk in them, the edge of the slide area rubs and digs into the edge of the nail on my big toe. I tried adding moleskin, breaking them in with thick socks, sanding the edge with sandpaper! I think it's just the position of the slide vs my toes. Huge bummer. I can't return them, so hoping strategically placed bandaids will help next time I try to wear them.
I ordered two sizes. First impression was disappointed at how they were packaged: they had zero protection within the aftermarket box and were obviously worn. The one that was slightly better packed was visibly scuffed. So the actual shoes -They do seem kind of cheap… but I’ve seen worse and at least these are leather, or so they say.Not sure what shoes the reviewer had who mentioned they have plenty of cushioning. There is none. However, they are sturdy and would be comfortable with the addition of a little arch support but alas, there is none. I tried adding the aftermarket insertable arch (not a whole insole) and they became way more comfortable, taking pressure off the balls of my toes and out of my lower back. But I would not trust open shoes like this with an insertable arch… it’ll be visible at best and fall out at worst!3 stars for being actual leather in a style I’m looking for, that’s versatile (not too casual, nor too dressy). There seem to be surprising few options for Simple leather mules with a wearable heel.Criticisms aside, if they had arch support I’d own these in every color. But they don’t, and the difference in comfort is significant enough where I’m going to keep searching.
I normally love Rockport shoes. Not sure what happened but these shoes are slightly wide, length is fine but leather extremely stiff and uncomfortable.
