I like the construction of the shoe and how comfortable they are. I will forever by rockports
Pros: Comfortable. Well made. Fit is a little large, even with heavy winter sox. Okay, to be expected.Cons: Leather finish is suede, which was unexpected, and not what the photo looked like. Picked this style instead of "caper" cause I didn't want a green shoe. What the hell is "caper"?But here's the deal breaker (see photo). There's a metal thing attached to the lace, advertising the waterproof-ness, WHICH CANNOT BE REMOVED. Even if you unlace the boot (no easy feat), the metal thing won't pass backwards over the aglet. Really? Whose stupid idea was that? If there's a way to get it off, without a hack saw, someone pls tell me. So taking away one star.
I got them and stashed them for my husband's birthday. He needed a brown pair... After wearing them less than a dozen times, they look like the pictures uploaded. I'm disappointed because I can't return them, since I stored them from May something til June 23, his birthday. It's July 8 today, so that gives you an idea of the low level of quality these boots have. Spend your hard earned green things elsewhere.
I can't answer your questions simply because the shoe was too large and I returned it for an exchange and I am now waiting on the exchange. When I receive the exchange, I will be happy to comment on the product.
Great shoe shipped the wrong color
love the fit and color and sole, just a tad heavier than I had hoped, need a couple weeks to break them in and some mink oil
Inkspot - The faded grey/blue in the picture is misleading. Very vibrant dark blue. Not an issue just not as neutral a color as hoped.The silly metal tag slides right off the laces. They are as simple to unlace as any other boot contrary to previous reviewer.Comfort - as comfortable as all rockports I've had before. Very comfortable just wish they has a little more arch support (as I have wished with previous rockports)*Edit 2 months later* Both little rubber logos on the rear have fallen off 2 weeks apart from each other negating waterproof. These get worn 2 days a week and are not abused. Gorrilla glue and super glue both failed to hold them in in attempt to repair. Very disappointed, but they are super comfortable. Lets go rockport, you can do better.
