Sturdy, comfortable, affordable, great look, and perfect sizing. Thank you
I don't do reviews much, but these boots really helped me (I'm on my second pair) and they might help you too. They're not as tough as a construction boot and they are not a substitute for them, but that is fine. They're an everyday work boot that is built well and are thoroughly impressive in every way.The big attraction is the insole. They support your foot evenly and it shows over time in the wear pattern on the bottom. I've tried a hundred boots and what ends up happening is the insole material collapses relatively quickly and unevenly, and your foot is no longer parallel to the ground. This causes joint pain, particularly in the knees, and I have to wonder how many people live with this and associate it with age or injury, and never consider their shoes may be causing the problem? (Memory foam and other materials are particularly good for this.)While it sounds uncomfortable, the best part about these boots is a firm insole that doesn't collapse. It maintains its shape and provides superior support througout the life of the boot. This is the first pair of boots I ever owned that were worn out, across the sole and worn completely evenly, before problems like this began to occur. The laces and eyelets are of good quality and lasted the lift of the boot. (Although they would come off easier with round laces.) Comfort is excellent. Water repellent qualities are good, They're stylish, if you're into that. You can get them from Amazon in wide sizes you will never, ever find on a shelf anywhere.I am very, very happy with these boots and as long as Rockport doesn't screw with them in some fundamental way and mess them up, I'll probably continue to purchase them forever. If you are noticing knee pain or other joint issues from walking or climbing? Check your shoes! Maybe try a pair of these.I hope this helps someone.
Very comfortable, nice boots, too bad they’re made in CHINA
These Boots are by far the most comfortable Boots I've ever owned. And I have worn my share of boots from Red Wing to Danner, Georgia, and the list goes on. Out of curiosity I went on a 12 mile walk and had no foot fatigue. With the superior comfort i noticed a sacrifice in durability in the tread, but I don't think it's worth giving any negative thoughts on these boots. I definitely recommend these boots for a soft-toed leather boot option. And they look sharp too.
I shopped carefully for this pair of work boots, reading reviews for my preferred features (round natural toe, wide enough to insert custom insoles, lightweight, waterproof, short top, clean smooth surface that wouldn’t collect dust, moderate sole that would allow comfortable walking) and this boot fits those wants better than any pair I’ve ever had. I am on my feet 12-14 hours a day walking construction sites as an inspector and my feet ache with heavy-soled boots but hikers collect too much dust.I wasn’t too worried about other people’s reviews that mentioned wearing out quickly because I clean and oil my boots regularly (dirt tears boots up fast when left in the seams) though I wondered how the soles would hold up. They’re doing great. I was a little concerned at first because they were stiff at the ankle and made my ankles hurt for a couple of weeks before they softened up. That was a surprise because reviews had said that the padding was comfortable. It wasn’t at first. I don’t lace the top eyelet and they feel great now that they’re softened.I walked through standing water all day one day and they only leaked around the tongue when they were submerged 4-5 inches. Amazing waterproofing. Could not be more pleased. Will definitely replace with the same boots when they do wear out. These are now my go-to summer boots.Note: they do run a tad wide. Works for me because I pull the insole and put memory foam soles inside. And I think they would not work so well for winter boots.1-year update: I just finished Shoe-Gooing these boots because other than the soles separating from the uppers, they’re in top-notch condition. I wore them through the winter with thick wool socks and a thinner insole and they worked great. I’ve gone through three pairs of insoles and many pairs of shoe laces but the shoes just keep on going. Couldn’t recommend them more.
3.5 stars. Would be at least 1 star higher if the soles hadn’t worn so quickly.Nice shoe, good support, fairly watertight (Gore Tex). Only issue is the sole wears down quickly; faster than I would expect. Purchased in March 2023, photos from December 2023. Did not wear more than 10-15 days in any one month (so, this represents about 3-4 months daily wear). I would expect better. Also, not sure if these can be re-soled at a reasonable price. This is too bad, because everything else about them works.
True to size, comfortable, and fashionable all for under $70!!
Once I figured out my size I fell in love with these boots. They are great for casual to business casual and once you break them in, which took about 5 or 6 days of wear, they are great. They fit and felt great before the break in period but I needed a shoe horn to get them on. My only complaint, which I saw mentioned in other reviews is that the shoe laces are not overly durable. They will definitely need replaced.
