I got these Reeboks after a different brand of stiff, thin-soled, slip-on alloy-toe work shoes absolutely wrecked my knees & feet (am doing CM for various project types, much on rough terrain). I started feeling better immediately after wearing these. After a few months, knees & feet are fine. Great shoes. Durability is excellent. Tip: I switched out the Reebok insoles for something a bit thicker and firmer. I have been doing construction and CM for 30 years. These are the most comfortable safety shoes I have ever worn.
Excellent shoes. Comfortable, light weight, decent looking for a safety shoe. The big issue I have is putting them on. The tong tends to roll down at the top and fold under as I insert my foot. This isn't a giant issue and I just reach in and pull the tong out and I am good. But I have several other slip on shoes that don't have this issue.
These work shoes are nice because they don't look like work shoes, they slip on and off easily and they are lightweight. I hear people say that work shoes are never comfortable and I think: you must not have tried these ones! I opted for the more tennis shoe style but they also have an all-leather version.I still see a few people saying they are uncomfortable and the only thing I can think is that it must be a fit problem because there's no way it could be an actual comfort problem. Unfortunately, these shoes do not come in wide or narrow sizes. The one thing I will say is that I bought these shoes 2 years ago in a 9.5 and accidentally bought them in a 10 which is usually my size and comparing the two side by side they are the EXACT same size. I'm thinking they may have used to run slightly large and they changed their sizing to be more true to size in that time period between purchases. Just an FYI for anybody re-ordering.
These shoes are not comfortable for long durations. If you plan to wear them for long periods of time, you may want to buy some inserts for them. Other than that they seem to be decent shoes.
Update: I have worn these shoes everyday for over a year now, and they are still going strong. I've walked, ran, worked in these, I've abused them and beaten them, but they still fit nice and are amazingly still in one piece. Best pair of shoes I've ever owned. By contrast, my shoes normally only last 6 months....I smashed my big toe twice really bad in 3 months, and needed steel toed shoes that we're slip ons. These are great. Slip on easy, and great protection. I like slip on shoes because I do mechanic work at home, and go in and out of the house a lot. I got wide shoes, but they are a little narrow for me.
I use these in my plant as we have a steel toe safety policy. They are very comfortable and easy to slip on without ever having to worry about a lace getting caught in machinery. I recommend adding an insert for maximum comfort.
Gift for husband.
I am 6'3" 250 lbs. and on my feet all day. I am looking for a safety shoe that does not sacrifice comfort. It appears shoe manufacturers can do one or the other. After a week of wearing these shoes I spent the weekend recovering. I thought maybe these shoes needed an extended break in period. By the next Wednesday my coworkers were concerned because I was visibly in pain. At this point I gave up and ordered a different shoe. Reebok please do better.
