When it comes to tactical footwear, the Propper Men's Duty 6" Military and Tactical Boots stand out for several reasons. First and foremost, the quality of construction is evident from the moment you put them on. The combination of durable leather and nylon not only offers great protection but also an attractive look that can be polished for formal environments.
The comfort level for this boot is impressive. The padded mesh lining and EVA foam insole provide cushioning that makes standing or walking for extended periods much more bearable. Users can expect a level of breathability that's often lacking in other tactical boots, making them suitable for both warm and cooler climates. The athletic performance rubber outsole adds to the comfort by absorbing shock effectively.
A unique feature is the design of the boot’s tongue gusset, which reduces the likelihood of dirt and debris entering the boot. This is particularly useful for field operations or outdoor activities where such exposure is common. Additionally, the inclusion of a YKK side zipper simplifies the process of putting the boots on and taking them off, a notable convenience for busy professionals.
However, it's worth noting that some users have reported needing a break-in period before achieving optimal comfort. While the boots perform well across the board, they may feel stiff initially for those unaccustomed to tactical footwear.

Was comfortable right out of the box. I’m a size 12. Well made.
Fits as expected and they are fairly comfortable. After 3 months of wear averaging 10k steps, 5 days a week as a school resource officer, they are still in fine condition unlike several others I have tried. Multiple pairs of Under Armour Valzets, Bates, and CQRs (super comfy but soles separate from uppers after 3 months repeatedly). Merrell's MOAB 2 and 5.11s give me back pain after a week so I dare say I've stress tested my fair share of boots. These are a good, cheap option but not very comfortable and there seems to be an issue with the soles that squeak and pop with every step....
Not bad, but possibly recommend ordering a half size smaller, mine are a little long. I’ll see how they fit with thicker socks in the winter. The width is great though. Seem a little heavy for a 6” tac boot. My 5.11 8” 3.0 are lighter. These also seem a bit on the warm side, hence I’m keeping them and gonna try in the winter. Also, gonna need to really break in because even with the zipper undone, I had to untie them to get them off and on. Defeats the purpose of the zipper don’t ya think? Maybe a little saddle soap will loosen them up, we’ll see? Good cheap price and seem pretty durable. We’ll see how they take a MO winter?
These boots fit nicely right out of the box! However, there isn't much arch support, but I fixed that by inserting Dr. Scholl's Gel Work Insoles. The boots are durable and look great!
Before I could even wear the boots, I had to make a return to get the correct size I ordered. Afterwards the boots wore great, but not very breathable. As a Patrol Officer I'm on my feet most times 13 hour days, Feel is good, but I had to use gorrila glue to reglue the sole back to the boot as the tip of the sole began to tear off. I've only had the boots for half a year.
Side zipper does not unzip low enough. it is actually easier to unlace then it is to put on via zipper access. Cant recomend..
Would purchase this item again.
2nd time buying these boots. Returned both, the zippers are difficult to operate due to poor quality control in the seams. Seams interrupt the zipper, way to go China!
