I purchased these boots in brown from Amazon, and I loved them. I have a very wide calf, and the shaft of these boots fit very comfortably. As recommended in some reviews I read, I went up a half size. I normally wear a size 9 and ordered a 9.5. They are just a tad big. I kept them, because I didn't want to get a tighter fit in the calf if I sized down to my normal size. I just wear them with thicker socks and they are fine.The reason for removing a star ... the sizing is inconsistent. I loved these brown boots so much, my husband bought me a black pair for Christmas (which he found cheaper than Amazon at another retailer). He bought the same size as my brown ones, size 9.5. They are MUCH bigger. My foot slips around inside even with thick socks, and the calf is actually a bit loose on me, even over jeans. They were non-returnable at the store from which he purchased, so I'll just have to stick with them. I still wear them often and they look great. I just wish I could have exchanged them for a size 9. The black also have an elastic-type material around the calf, whereas the brown have a stretchy suede-feeling fabric. I prefer the brown fabric style.
WOW! What a score for the price. Real leather. The back is suede the front tanned. I had to buy brown in 8.5 but they are gorgeous and smell and look great. I have sparrow legs (thin) so the shaft is a little big but I have other boots that are bigger. I normally wear between 8-9. The 8.5 fits snug so won't be able to wear heavy socks but I can live with that. Fit, feel and look fabulous.
I wanted to like them. They are nice boots but I found that even though I ordered the wide width it was still too narrow in the foot. I wished they offered extra wide, I would have reordered them. If you have a slightly wide and can sometimes wear medium or B width then go ahead and order them.
Love these boots. They were just a smidge tight around my on my first try, but that's normal. I bought them for a trip to NY in the winter, and I wore them just about everywhere. My feet never hurt in them. Now that I've had the boots for a few weeks, they fit perfectly. I'm thinking of getting them in black. Amazon's price was definitely better than Zappos...by a mile! (Plus with Prime, I got them in 2 days. Score!)
Very disappointed that the wide width is not nearly wide enough. Other Propet shoes have been much better. When comparing the soles of this boot with another brand, this one was significantly more narrow. The boot itself is very nice. Unfortunately had to return these.
Fits well and looks good, If I had to make an improvement it would be for a little more space around the ankle.
I have had these boots for a little over a month, at first I thought they were great. The fit was nice and they were very comfortable. Then I noticed my ankles and front of my feet starting to hurt. Turns out the material the boot sole is made out of is junk. The heel of both boots are completely crumbling(see included pictures). As it is too late to return them, I am stuck with $92 bits of trash. I have very little money and my footwear is an investment for me because I work on my feet for 9 hours a day. Don't waste your money!
Great quality and comfortable. I have 16” calves and they fit but are snug to leg with skinny jeans tucked in but not “tight. I expect that with wear they will stretch a little to a less snug fit.
