Lightweight, flexible sole, soft leather, all work together to make my feet feel small, even though I ordered the largest of my "range" of shoe size. I usually wear 7.5 or 8W or WW. After reading the reviews about this shoe running slightly on the small side, I ordered the 8WW and it fits fine. It accommodates my bunion without the heel being too wide. I have removed the inserts and replaced with ones that have more arch support and cushioning. There seems to be plenty of room in the toe box even with the thicker inserts. If you have a higher instep, this shoe might not work for you. There is a small elastic gore, but not much room to spare there. Overall, I think these will be comfortable shoes. I plan to bring them on a trip to Europe where I will be doing a fair amount of walking and want an alternative to sneakers. .
