Very good quality, good for, comfy & worth every penny!
The boot is made of good quality materials, not great but good. The sole and entire footbed is very soft, almost bouncy when I walk. They are sized on the generous side. The D width is wider than you would get in a traditional Wellington work boot. Because of this you may get by with a half size smaller boot. For example, I am a 12.5 and normally buy a 13 if my size is not available. In this boot, I can get by with a 12. Also consider heel slippage since it is a wide boot. Smaller is probably better if you can get a good fit. As a work boot, the composite toe is acceptable. Sole has good grip. I wouldn't consider these to be hard core work boots but for a warehouse or a supervisor job they are plenty good enough.
i did not end up keeping this boot, but only because the top of my foot (midfoot?) is abnormally high so there are many boots I cannot get my foot into, this happens to be one of them. The boot I did end up keeping is also Propet but of a different lace-up design. As such, this review is based on my observations while I had the product in hand. I found the quality to be on par with other Propet products I've kept, all have served me well for years.
And they are comfortable
Very light and very comfortable. Cannot speak to its sturdieness but no break in needed and feels pretty protective
Propét Men's Smith Construction Boot- Worst boot purchase ever! My husband started wearing these to work at the foundry on January 19th. By March 1st they were split open at the seam on one boot and and were wearing through on the side on the other. Ruined in 6 weeks! I do not know how these boots earned 4.5 stars in 14 ratings. I would give them -5 if possible!
I got the XX Wide (box says 5E, not the add). It is just what I needed. This is the 2nd Propet shoe I've bought, I love them.
The boot itself looked nice, it was just not the right size and they didn’t have a closer size to what we needed.
