The Propét Men's Shield Walker excels in multiple aspects that matter when choosing safety footwear. The composite toe design is not only a requirement for many workplaces but also adds protection against heavy falling objects.
When it comes to comfort, the EVA midsole paired with a breathable Open Cell PU footbed truly shines. This combination helps to keep your feet cool while providing adequate cushioning even during long hours on your feet. The removable footbed allows for customization, catering to your particular needs or allowing for orthotic inserts if desired.
The waterproof bootie construction is a standout feature, ensuring that rain, puddles, or spills won’t compromise your footwear’s integrity. This makes them ideal for outdoor jobs or inclement weather conditions.
On the downside, some users have noted that these shoes might feel heavier compared to traditional athletic shoes. Additionally, finding the perfect fit can be tricky since sizing may vary for different individuals.

My hubby has a size 15 and needs x- wide also. So not the easiest to find. He loves these. They actually had a little extra length for his foot. The width was great. The only thing he said he wished was different was the inside heel part. He said it could you a gel liner or something cause it’s not as soft as the rest of the inside. But definitely a great price and very good quality.
My husband loves the boots! He found them to be very true to size, comfortable and lighter weight than usual work boots. I highly recommend
The back part of the boot is lower on the back than the front which was a bit uncomfortable. They fit around the foot but was very uncomfortable around the ankle and was a bit tight. They are nice boots. Don't get me wrong. I did give them to my daughter and they fit her perfectly so I don't have to return them. This is why I give a 4 star. My feet and ankles are just weird. I have a hard time wearing women shoes because of it so I tried these boots. I think later I will try more of a combat style boot. These boots are just not for me.
I am editing my review for THIS pair of boots. My other much older pair are still looking like new. THIS pair, after wearing them now for only 3 weeks are showing advanced wear/cracking in the leather under the right boot tongue (see picture) I downgraded to a 3 star because of this. The rest of the review below still stands.I have plantar fasciitis so shoes have to be good...in fact great, or I have pain walking. I've bought other pediatric shoes in the past...but THESE work great! The great thing about these Propet boots is that they not only feel good...they are water proof and steel toed. They are my new GO TO boot.My son also now goes with Propet dress shoes at work.
The boots work well and especially I have very wide feet so the boots come in extra wide that makes them very comfortable to wear for long periods of time on your feet a good choice.
They seem to be well made but are very bulky and heavy. Wearing them felt like wearing ankle weights!
These shoes are both comfortable to wear and big enough for my feet (I wear a size 16 4e). They take a bit of effort to tightly lace but give plenty of support when tied. They are also one of the sharpest looking pairs of boots I’ve bought.
There is no support in the boots at all. Right away I had to replace the insoles with something that had support. Less than 5 months of use and they are falling apart already. For the first 2 months I thought it was nice they were waterproof since I mostly work outside. But on the downside of it they are not breathable and very hot even in the northern Illinois winter. I was really disappointed that they didn't last very long.
