I was originally concerned that the listing photo looked more grey than black, but it is just a poorly done photo- the shoe is black. Noticeably warmer than non-insulated though for Arctic duty something else may be in order. Hard to beat this shoe for the price. Would buy again.
As a long time hiker, backpacker, and snowshower, I had very high hopes for this boot. After having Propet blizzard boots, I was hoping to get a better "real" hiking boot for winter condition. But this has been impossible with an extra wide (XX-wide/4E) foot. Here are a pair of thinsulate and fake fur lined boots sized at 5E. Yet they still we far too tight. Why? I can only speculate that the footbed is in fact a 5E, but then the lining of thinsulate and fur reduce it. When are boot and all shoe manufacturers going to not try to reduce costs and use the same footbed for all their lines. An insulated boot MUST be measured from the inside out. Without the internal space for the foot, what is the the point of having these sized as 5E
I bought these for my husband this winter and he loves them! The fit is great and they have good traction.
We’re ran down 2weeks in i do a lot of walking @ work i was hoping for at least 2months of wear
finally a boot wide enough, very comfortable and i wear them approx 12 per day.
Uncomfortable and heavy
