My dad loves them
I got a job operating light rail trains and these were perfect for our uniform code. These are very sturdy for walking in the ballast and climbing in and out of the trains. Also, these are warm enough and cool enough. I’ve worn them in extreme cold and snow, and miserable heat. I was comfortable either way. Another point, I have some nerve damage in my foot from back surgery. My feet are strangely sensitive. I tried many different boots, but they all left me exhausted and in extreme pain by the end of the day. These are the only boot that my feet have been able to tolerate. They haven’t lasted for quite a year, but I wear them EVERY DAY under pretty extreme conditions. I’ve had to do some home repair of the Velcro straps, the backing needed to be glued back on a couple of times, but considering the abuse they’ve endured, I can’t be upset. It just took some gorilla glue. They are super easy to get on and off. The uppers are still in great shape but I think my weight combined with the abusive conditions have just worn the insides down.By gum, I’m buying another pair because they are definitely worth the money, imho. If you have sensitive feet, I’d be interested to know if you’ve had the same great experience with these as I have. Sorry to ramble on, but shoe purchases are such a big deal for me and these are really the only work shoes that work for me.The pictures show how well they have held up under walking in sharp rocks every day. The wear is better than expected under the conditions.Update: I just ordered and received my second pair. My feet were immediately happy when I slipped them on!

After ankle and foot surgery my husband needed a sturdy boot that would give him support. But he still wanted it to look stylish and be comfortable. These boots were perfect for him. There was no break-in time, and he immediately felt more balanced. They are heavy, but that's to be expected for a boot this well-built. He had to buy a size larger and wider than usual. He loves them and they look great. Plus, he loves the velcro fasteners.
Normally wear a size 12 EE . The width was fine but the length was jamming my toes into the nose of the boot. Sent back and ordered size 13 but they don't have 13 EE they have 13 WE. 13 WE is long enough but the width is way to narrow, putting them on is a chore and they are very tight in the width at the instep.
Great for working around the farm. Good ankle support and XX-Wide is what I need for a bunion problem. Only worn a couple of times, but so far, very comfortable.
Very uncomfortable. Hurts my ankles immediately after trying them on. Returning. Do not recommend.

Great shoeUpdate:This pair was ordered in July 2020. This is May of 2021 and I had to change from these to one of My other pairs I purchased. 10 months is pretty good for a shoe and for me. I’m a heavy person and my ankle was broken once so I walk on the side of my foot a lot. Most shoes don’t keep up with that. I only get 12 months out of my Red Wings and they’re just over $200 without tax. These are very good shoes.
