The Oboz Women's Bridger 7" Insulated B-DRY boot delivers on various levels, particularly in warmth and overall comfort. The blend of waterproof materials and insulation ensures that even the coldest days won't deter your adventures. You’ll appreciate how the B-Dry waterproof breathable membrane works effectively; it prevents moisture from seeping in while allowing sweat to escape, keeping your feet dry throughout the day.
One of the standout features of these boots is the O FIT Insole™ Thermal, which enhances comfort underfoot. If you're someone who enjoys wearing thicker socks, you'll find that the generous volume of the boot accommodates this without feeling cramped. Plus, the lace-up system offers a customizable fit, providing additional support.
In terms of traction, the cold weather-specific outsole is a game-changer. It allows you to traverse icy sidewalks and snowy trails with confidence. The sturdy rubber material grips well, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
However, it's worth mentioning that some users reported a longer than average break-in period. While this is common with many winter boots, if you're looking for immediate comfort right out of the box, you might need to adjust your expectations. Additionally, the weight may be heavier when compared to other lighter winter shoes, but the trade-off is the added protection and durability.
Overall, the Oboz Women's Bridger 7" Insulated B-DRY is a solid investment for anyone serious about outdoor activities in cold conditions. It strikes a balance between style, performance, and comfort, making it a reliable choice for winter adventures.

Update (11/21/23):I wore these on a hike today with my kids, and sank knee deep in mud trying to rescue my daughter (who was also stuck in the mud). Thank goodness they tie so securely - my daughters boots stayed stuck when I pulled her out of the mud and I had to fish them out, but these boots stayed on my feet securely. I did have snow pants on over them, but when I finally got unstuck my lovely boots were covered in thick black swamp mud. I thought for sure they were ruined, but figured I would try to hose them off anyway. Imagine my surprise when all of the mud rinsed off (I hosed them off while I was still wearing them) AND they stayed nice and dry inside! I loved them already but now I really appreciate how well-made and waterproof they are!Original review:I got these last week so I’ve worn them a few times now and I love them! Out of the box they felt stiff but still very comfortable. I usually wear an 8 in sneakers/boots and I ordered an 8; plenty of room for thick socks. Narrow/average heel and foot width, nice roomy toe box. Love the extra sturdy lace grips (idk the real name for them)! They’ve kept my feet toasty so far but the weather hasn’t been below 40° yet. Very grippy! Looking forward to wearing these for nature walks and hiking all winter!
I live in Minnesota. I often go hiking in the winter. These boots are just right! They’re warm. The sole has enough grip on snowy trails. (But no amount of grip is enough on ice! You need YakTrax for ice.) I was worried that the height of the boots would make them feel too stiff around my ankles. That’s not the case. They are soft enough and they move well so I can take a normal stride without feeling like I’m locked in place around my ankles.
I spent a lot of time researching my ideal winter boot. THIS IS IT. Warm, rugged sole, zero break-in time, perfect height. I work as a park ranger on a mountain, so I walk on concrete/asphalt a lot, which can wear boot soles down pretty quickly. I also need to stay warm in extreme conditions (-20 windchill is not uncommon). All winter I've worn these and they have held up fantastically. I am also a fan of the width, as I have wide feet and sometimes have trouble finding comfortable boots. I will be buying these boots until they stop being made.
These boots are not for cuteness. They are beefy and rugged. A little wide too. I wear a size 9 so maybe it just seems BIG because I have a larger foot size. Seem pretty warm though. I fit a thick sock in them too. These would be good for outdoor work on a farm or hiking. Not the best for dressing up.
I am a mail carrier in the Pittsburgh area. My job requires a boot that keeps my feet warm and dry for an 8 to 10 hour period. I have purchased so many boots that claim to be insulated, waterproof, light weight, only to be disappointed. I wore these boots with a -5° temperature outside recently and I can tell you my feet were warm, dry . These boots are lightweight. I walk up to 12 miles a day and I was comfortable from start to finish. And I am so thankful to finally have found a boot that is true to its description. I will never purchase another boot other than oboz for work. I am hoping they make some sort of tennis or light hiking shoe for the warmer weather.
I've searched and searched for good light weight snow boots that my feet do not slide in for so long! Previously, eight pairs were ordered and returned. THESE ARE THE PERFECT BOOTS! They are light for such well insulated boots too! My heels fit very comfortably, and my toes feel plenty of room without the boots being too large. I've now worn them in the 12inch fresh snow (with gators and snow shoes). I've also worn them in the -1F temperature (felt more like -14F) for 4.5mile hikes with my dog. I've hiked on super icy trails with cramp-on cleats, and the boots are really solid and work really well with those. My feet stayed nice and warm all the way. SUPER comfortable!!! I love the color (mine are beige), with a little bit of fuzzy showing at the top. So cute.I've read other reviewers saying that the boots tend to run small. So I ordered two sizes just in case: 6 and 6.5. I ended up keeping my usual size (6), and they are great!
Tried a bunch of different brands but the minute I put these on, I was done. These fit perfectly. I did order a half size up from normal for the thick socks.
This is my wife’s second pair of Oboz and we don’t recommend any other boot company for outdoor boots. This opinion may not matter to anyone else, but to us they ROCK!Fordé
