The Oboz Bridger Insulated Waterproof 8" winter hiking boot is designed to keep your feet warm, dry, and comfortable during your outdoor adventures. Made from waterproof nubuck leather, these boots are a reliable companion for winter hiking and snowshoeing. The B-Dry waterproof breathable membrane ensures that vapor escapes while keeping water out, making it perfect for wet conditions.
With 200 grams of 3M Thinsulate insulation, these boots will provide additional warmth on colder days, allowing you to tackle trails without fear of cold feet. The lace-up system with metal hardware offers a secure fit, so you can confidently navigate uneven terrain.

When it comes to winter hiking, the Oboz Bridger Insulated Waterproof 8" boot stands out for several reasons. First and foremost, the insulation provided by 3M Thinsulate is impressive—it helps retain body heat without adding significant bulk. This means you can comfortably wear these boots for extended periods.
The waterproof nubuck leather upper not only looks good but also performs exceptionally well in harsh weather conditions. You’ll find that even in deep snow or slushy trails, your feet stay dry and comfortable.
Another highlight is the boot's overall comfort level. The O Fit Insole Thermal significantly contributes to this, as it features a unique design tailored for maintaining foot position and cushioning. The molded rubber components enhance durability and allow for easy cleaning after muddy hikes.
On the downside, they might feel heavy after prolonged use compared to other lighter options, particularly if you're used to low-cut hiking shoes. However, the trade-off for extra protection and support may be worth it, especially in challenging winter conditions.

I found them to be very comfortable and made of good quality material. I have funky feet and need to shop around everywhere to find shoes that feel comfortable. I recommend these shoes. They are true to size.
These boots were everything I had hoped for Im in construction and they are very comfortable light weight have great grip while using them for work are hiking I’m on my feet all day on all kinds of job sites and they have out preformed any boot I have ever bought! Oboz is the only boot I’ll buy from now on ! A little pricey I thought at first but it’s a well constructed boot you get what you pay for ! I liked these boots so much I bought another pair of Oboz boots that are more designed for hiking and biking lightweight and waterproof more of a high top tennis shoe style look ! One other thing Oboz makes a good looking boot too they look great ! Don’t hesitate give them a try once you buy I think you’ll be sold on them too !
.... They run a bit more narrow than other quality brands that I have used. Full disclosure... while I do have a truly medium foot as far as width goes, I suffered a broken big toe years ago on my left foot and it is now arthritic. Too much pressure on that toe from footwear can agitate it- especially in colder weather. Coming from brands like Salmon and Merrel, those brands have not agitated my toe at all. However, after walking in these boots for about 12-15 miles total now, they seem to be breaking in. Still slightly tight, but not as bad as in the beginning. So, at least my sample did in fact require some breaking in. The are well made. I personally like the sole. Grabs well on rocks and seems to shed mud decently. They are warm. I did a hike at -9F and had no issues with midweight FITS socks. They are waterproof. The trail we took had several stream crossings and the stream was still running water. Feet never got wet. I think (and am hoping with a few more miles) that these will completely break in. I would suggest that if you can, try these on first before buying. But as far as what Oboz states these boots do, they do. they are very well built.
put these on, and you will know in less than 5 seconds! Went on my morning hike with my old cheap boots, then put these on 2 hours later....so comfy, so well made. It was like heaven. Just do it...worry about your feet, not $ 20 extra dollars!
Nice fit
I have tried every top brand boot out here and more expensive. I am on my feet 10-12 hours a day on concrete. I decided to try these. So far they are by far the most comfortable boot I have owned. I take them off at end of long days and my feet feel like they have not been on concrete at all. Plus the insulation keeps your feet warm. They are actually "Waterproof" as they claim. A lot of manufacturers claim they are but these are 100%. I tested them out as took my Akita for a walk and we walked up and down her favorite stream in the cold (snow on the ground) for at least 30 minutes and no leaks and feet kept nice and warm. I will be buying the "shoe"version of these as well this week.
Very comfortable boots. Didn't experience slipping as others have mentioned. They are so comfortable I will be ordering a Oboz hiking/walking shoe.
Great fitting boots!
