Been wearing for a week or two. Very comfy, light, and high quality.
I bought these boots for AIT I will be attending to after basic coming up. Boots are an exact fit to food size and coming from someone with slim feet they keep my foot nice and sturdy. I would also say the toe box is also wide enough if you have wider feet, it will also be comfortable. Breaking in boots were a breeze took them out first day with a 12 mile ruck straight out of the box and let me just say the comfort was there immediately. Walking in the street up hills uneven terrain and my feet were feeling good the whole walk. No rubbing pain or blisters and now that I’ve ruck an additional few more time the boots are nice and well broken in. Would definitely recommend.
Basically like running with shoes. Not super great ankle support, would recommend for light walking. If you have soft feet I don’t recommend rucking in them if you don’t wanna get strong. However, I’d only change the soul in them out. I don’t wear them where I’m at currently due to wet weather. They’re great in rain until you get into puddles.
These boots were awesome! I am a woman who is about a size 8 shoe and I got the men's size 6, they fit absolutely perfectly. They were lightweight and support my flat foot. The bottoms are a little thin, so when going over rugged terrain you will feel it a bit. I would say these are nice early fall, spring, and summer uniform boots, but in the winter you should get a thicker more winterized pair. I passed them on to my Team Leader who is the same size as me and a year later they are still holding up great for her!
used aother boots a medium hot weather compliant boot that is fairly close to the heavy rucking type boot..then I put on the Oakley,s after using the other boots night and day difference have not gotten to do anything in hot weather yet because it's below zero and winter.. first there really light weight they don't have the firmness as the others but they do have an outer sole and inner sole so just enough..I don't think I could do a heavy ruck with these on ruff trail or ruff surfaces but for medium surface light trail it should work and what little I did it seem,s to be ok. I went down a railway blast witch is Sharp rocks and it Did fine and in a light snow cover ..so I would say if you are going to be out in a really ruff field or trail conditions you need the more substantial boots..but everything else yes the Oakley,s SIZE COULD BE A THING FOR SOME I got the size 13 .. they fit my wide feet I usually take E E and sometimes that barely works so if you have normal to a small feet. You have to pay attention one problem was a little fabric nub on the inside by the toe.. so I cut that off carefully other than that I really like these boots after using a medium complaint boot and a medium type popular side zip work boot putting these on were really really confrontable... they seem they will be good in hot weather I guess with a wool socks or some kind of linear they could work in winter and cold ..but then that would mean your boots are very big and in summer u are putting on heavy socks. Any way I would recommend a heavy duty boot or medium boot for rucking or heavy felid use not these ..for some theses Oakley,s will be fine for everything...but not everyone all most everything else yes they should work just fine I think so far I have used these more than my tennis shoe,s so that was a surprise to me did not expect that .. highly recommend but wait to find a good price hopefully I get to use theses a bit more sooner than later weather is supposed to break so more outside time coming soon ... and I will get to do a good few miles in them on and in real condition,s
I'm not in the military but I heard these are US military approved. I bought for hiking and riding my motorcycle. The support is great and they are very comfortable.
Bought it for my son and he likes it more than the Okeley boots
The high quality you can expect from oakley! 11 years of service and I've worn this model of boots for aroun 6 of those years with no plans of changing it up. Great for rucking and break in pretty fast after getting them wet and wearing them dry. Tred gets slick after a while but you can't beat them for garrison and rucking.
