I love these shoes. I have plantar fasciitis with stress reaction and bone spurs. Being on my feet all day can become excruciatingly painful. My feet started swelling out of all of my tennis shoes that I would normally wear to work. I thought clogs might be a good alternative since they are a loose fit. I got these to try out and I was amazed!!! Normally by the time I get out of an 8 hour shift, my feet are throbbing and swollen, one or both of my arches hurt enough to alter my gait and I just can’t wait to get home to put my feet up. These shoes are wonderful-they keep my arches in place and even after being on my feet all day, they don’t throb and the swelling isn’t even noticeable. I was afraid I might have to send these back because they aren’t clogs at all. They fit firmly to my feet. But they’re perfect. I don’t swell out of them all.
I was looking for professional, comfortable, non-athletic shoes that I could wear on a recent trip where I knew I would be doing a great deal of standing and walking. I have arthritis in my knees and tennis shoes just weren't cutting it for the pain or for the polished look I wanted. These shoes fit the bill beautifully. After several hours of the walking and standing, then unexpectedly walking several city blocks, my knees felt fine and my feet did not hurt. The only reason I did not give this five stars is because it feels like the medium width is a little snug and there is no ventilation. I wore trouser socks and was fine in a Virginia winter, but these may get toasty in warmer weather. I have since discovered Vionics for both more casual and dressier sandals with excellent support, but I would highly recommend these Nurse Mates for a professional, low-profile walking shoe. Once again, nurses have the answer to life's problems.
I really like these shoes. My nursing instructor recommended them and I am glad I listened to her. These are super comfortable, and also they have minimal seams and are all leather. This means spilled liquids are not going to be seeping into your shoes. They are super easy to clean.Additionally my feet don’t hurt! After all day of running around I feel just fine.They seem to run big.
These shoes are wonderful, fit good, and will last due to being real Leather. Since they are leather, I needed a wider size, but the comfort is worth every penny. However, they are not too pricey. Good quality.Thanks
This is my second pair of Harmony Nurse Mates. These shoes run a half size too small. But they are well crafted shoe with great arch support and great overall comfort. Highly recommend these shoes!
I ordered these shoes on recommendation and boy was I disappointed. the size that I ordered was not what was delivered in the box; although the box stated the correct size (as seen in the pictures provided). Now I have to wait for the return to be processed and pay a fee for the return which I don't agree with since the error was not mine.
The right shoe hurts the side of my foot and it feels like my baby toe is rubbing up against the inside of the shoe ....but the left is perfect
Got these for my Nursing School daughter, who was complaining about her Dansko clogs being uncomfortable on long clinical shifts. She says these are definitely an improvement, but they were pretty stiff at first with a definite breaking-in period necessary; the first few times she wore them, she was very happy to get them off her feet at the end of the day. Now they are her main shoes for clinical and no pain.It's a definite adjustment to go from wearing comfortable sneakers to a more structured shoe like this, don’t give up on them just because they feel less flexible when brand new!
