UPDATE: It has been 6+ months since I originally purchased these shoes for my son and he has never been able to wear them due to the OVERWHELMING chemical/petroleum smell they arrived with. I have tried literally EVERYTHING to relieve the chemical odor from these shoes, but NOTHING has worked. A complete waste of money, as the shoes are literally unwearable due to the smell. Do not waste your time or money on this shoe.My son says these boots are very comfortable. They come with a removable, very cushioned footbed. I agreed to purchase them only because they were on sale. The product description and box state they are made partly of leather, but I’m not sure—the shoe actually appears to be made of some sort of textile, not leather. One BIG thing to note (and I mean BIG): these shoes have an EXTREMELY strong chemical odor right out of the box. Maybe it’s the “stain & water” repellant treatment the tags boasted about. It is SO bad, I almost considered returning them. But my son really needed something and he does like the shoe. So I have been putting them out on my terrace every single day for a week and the smell is just starting to dissipate. I’m expecting to do that for another week or however long it takes for them to off-gas. Keep that in mind if you choose to order!
They are wide width, which adds to a good fit. They look more like they are made from corduroy rather than suede. They are a good-looking pair of boots. The issue I have is they feel like they are made from cardboard. I am concerned how well they will wear.

I've been looking for a nice boot for quite some time. I didn't want anything formal but also didn't want a cowboy or soldier look. Also, I am thrifty, so paying over $100 was out of the question.These boots look great: neither punk, not formal. Look great with jeans, slack or even shorts. And they are very comfortable.
When I opened the box, I was overwhelmed with a terrible plastic stench. Materials are low quality, the only leather in the upper is a small leather piece with the brand name on it. The rest of the upper is synthetic and has a strange texture to it. I returned these shoes and recommend you steer clear of these cheaply made shoes.
These boots are narrower than my regular width sneakers. The manufacturers should try using human feet as models. There's no arch support and they also came scuffed.
