Great hiking boots

When searching for hiking boots I did find it to be a little challenging. I took a risk buying these because I was short on time before a trip. The boots offer great ankle support are light weight and my toes had plenty of wiggle room. I wear a size 9 normally in tennis shoes and they fit great! The only downside is that the boot does look a little big but what’s more important leaving with bruised toes and blisters or looking stylish when you hike… choose your poison. Boots fresh out the box I hiked for 4 hours straight with no issues. I admit risky but it was worth it!

Nice!

I sized up a half size and there was enough room for thick socks and still a tad bit of toe room. There is ankle support which is nice. I haven't hiked with them yet but I'm optimistic that these will be good shoes. For the price it was a good purchase.UPDATE 5/8/2019: These boots held up well for 4 months of pretty heavy wear. The bottom of one of boots started to come off and that resulted in water getting let into the shoe. I ended up having to get rid of the pair because of that. But if the bottom of the boot never came off, the boots were waterproof and kept my feet dry. I wouldn't recommend them for someone looking for a long-term boot for heavy amounts of hiking. But for a casual hiker, these are perfect.

Great buy, I would recommend these shoes

I was hesitant to buy these shoes having never heard of this brand before. I'm glad I did buy them though. Other reviewers mentioned the back of the ankle rubbing, and while that did occur, it didn't bother me enough to regret buying them and eventually I didn't notice. I did wear thick socks with these though. When I first put them on I did notice the weight of them, but they weren't heavy enough that I was lifting weights. I just normally wear light-weighted flats. I'm usually a size 9.5 or 10. I ordered a size 10 and they felt a tiny bit big. From what I've researched about snow/hiking boots though, that is a good thing. The extra space around the foot is suppose to be there. One negative though, I wish the laces were longer. They aren't quite long enough to fully loop around the hooks and completely tie off. When I'm doing active things, I especially like to double-knot my laces so I don't accidentally trip on them and that is not an option with the length of these.I wore the boots on a two week trip to Iceland, (everyday of the two weeks), during the winter, and they held up great. I wore these through blizzards, snow hikes, rain, puddles, and walking through town. My feet never got cold or wet. I was also comfortable wearing them all day. The shoes are also very durable, after all the stuff I've put them through, they still look good, clean, and unblemished.Oh, and the color of the boots online wasn't my first choice, I usually like my shoes very classic, plain. When I received them, I wasn't shocked by the color. In person, the color isn't bad.For the record, I have never owned a pair of hiking all-weather boots before so my opinion might be just an introductory one.All in all, this was a good buy for me because I saved quite a bit of money and these shoes turned out great for me. I would definitely buy these again and I recommend them.

Not for me....

These hiking boots are not very well....stiff materials which fills awkward on the foot( the she is no too flexible). Also runs larger for the size.Sadly I'm returning them.

Great beginner shoes at a great price

Great shoes! I'm usually between a 9.5-10, it's always different depending on where I buy shoes. I decided to order a size 10 and I should have gotten a 9.5. They're just slightly too long. But I have wide feet and these are just perfect for that. I bought some insoles hoping that would help with the size issue but I think I'll have to just find some really thick socks. I've taken them hiking a couple of times now, over dry and really wet conditions, and I've never slipped, these have amazing grip. The only thing I would take note of about these shoes is the tongue, it's attached to the shoe up the sides. I assume this is to help with keeping your feet dry in wet conditions. It's just slightly annoying because it prevents me from tightening the shoe as much as I want. However, since mine are slightly too big for me, this may not be an issue for someone who gets the proper size.

A DEFINITE NO!!

These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet and caused me days of pain on my trip! I bought these to wear for a 10 day trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks with interspersed days of hiking. I ordered them well in advance of the trip, which was my first mistake because by the time I got back from my vacation, I was out of my Amazon return window. However, I wore them around the house to test them out, make sure the fit was good and break them in a little. They were pretty heavy to walk around in, but otherwise seemed to fit pretty well. Once on the trail, however, any time I would walk downhill, my toes would be KILLING me. I almost had to cut my hike short because of this. Unfortunately, this was not the worst of the pain to come from these shoes. I felt some discomfort over my Achilles' tendons during the hike, but I think this was overshadowed by the horrible pain in my toes at that time. I swore at the end of that hike that these shoes would never go onto my feet again, which was true. Unfortunately though, the pain in both Achilles' tendons persisted for 4-5 days after that one hike! This was most uncomfortable during a large part of my vacation. So, in the end, I ended up spending $49 for a pair of hiking boots that I wore once, caused me unnecessary pain and will NEVER put on my feet again. Clearly, I strongly recommend AGAINST these shoes.
