The Northside Boy's Caldera JR-K strikes a balanced mix between functionality and style. Its construction reflects the needs of active families, ensuring that even the most energetic kids can remain comfortable during their adventures. The embedded heel stabilizer offers additional support, which is essential when navigating uneven surfaces.
When it comes to practicality, the quick-draw lacing system simplifies putting on and taking off the shoes. This feature is particularly beneficial for busy parents who appreciate any time-saving elements during their hectic days.
The traction outsole does an impressive job of providing grip, ensuring your child stays stable on slippery or rocky paths. Parents will find the protective toe cap especially useful, as it adds a layer of security against unexpected bumps and scrapes.
However, it's worth noting that while the design is generally appealing, some children might find the limited color variations less exciting. Additionally, potential buyers should be cautious about sizing as reports of inconsistencies do exist. It's advisable to try them on if possible.

We bought these for our son who was in boy scouts. His first camping trip involved hiking and biking and he used these boots for all of it. He said they were comfortable and his feet didn't hurt after a long day. They appear to be good quality with great support!
These are the perfect starter hiking boots, and definitely worth the price. I didn’t want to spend a ton considering how fast kid’s feet grow, and I’m pleasantly surprised to know that they’re holding up well enough that we’ll be able to pass them down to his little sister when he outgrows them. Would buy again for sure.
I'm afraid one of the gromuts on the upper broke after one day. Maybe just a fluke but we had to send back- otherwise, Great boots.
My son said they were comfortable and fit great
Good boots
This is a very handsome hiker boot. My grandson really likes it and it looks very sturdy. The price was right, the only thing I would point out is that it runs about a size small.
We were hoping that these would last but the laces only held up for 3 weeks, we haven't gone camping yet. On the plus side, they're comfortable.
My just turned 5yr old daughter loves them. Fits well with long socks. Took her out on a rough rocky trail and she did great in them. She had no complaints while hiking. Really like how it supports her ankles and kept the cactus needles away. Took them off her after 2hour hike and her feet looked great with no blisters or needles. She wants to go hiking again.
