Design and Aesthetics: The standout feature of the Nomad Women's Puddles III Rain Boot is undeniably its artistic design. The hand-painted prints capture attention and provide a fresh twist to traditional rain boots. You can express your individuality while staying stylish during rainy days.
Comfort and Fit: Most users report that these boots offer a comfortable fit, particularly due to their lightweight construction. However, it’s wise to consider wearing thicker socks if you plan to wear them for extended periods, as they might require a bit of time to adjust to the shape of your foot.
Functionality: As a waterproof option, these boots excel in keeping your feet dry even in the heaviest downpours. The mid-calf height provides a good balance between protection and ease of movement. They’re versatile enough to wear casually or day-to-day, making them a practical choice for the wardrobe.
Durability: Crafted from high-quality rubber, the Nomad Puddles III boots are built to withstand the elements. While they shine in wet weather, be cautious about exposing them to extreme temperatures, as rubber can become less flexible in freezing conditions.

Head's up! I wear a size 9, so I ordered a size 9. I tried them on and was all "NOOOOOO!" The calf fit loose enough that I could tuck my boot-cut corduroys into them, but the foot bed was so large that when I walked, my feet were sliding back and forth. I put on two pairs of thick socks, and that helped a lot, but the fit still seemed off. I have Amazon Prime, which gets me free 2-day shipping and free returns on shoes, so I bought a size 8 to compare with the 9s. The 8s fit great with a mid-weight pair of socks. Plenty of room for my toes to wiggle. They'd also work with one pair of thick socks, but not two pairs of thick socks. The calf is more snug, although wearing skinny jeans with these boots was the obvious solution. I've got larger calves (14.75"), and shopping for boots can be challenging. I'm so glad these fit, because I love the design.I also did a water test with the 8s, because the 9s leaked after wearing them in slush, leaving my socks damp. I filled the bathtub halfway with cold water and stood in it for a few minutes. The 8s stayed nice and dry! I did wear these around the house afterwards just because they're SO LIGHTWEIGHT and comfy, but rubber doesn't breathe and my toes began to feel a little sweaty. When I took the boots off, my socks were dry, and my feet aired out in a couple minutes. When I wear them this spring, I'm going to sprinkle powder in my socks and/or the boots to stay comfortable, since rubber keeps water out, but also keeps it in.I think the reviewers who had size issues were like me-- on the small end of their shoe size. The reviewers who had no size issues are on the big end. I do think these boots run large. I've got 1 or 2 pairs of size 8.5 shoes in my closet, but I've NEVER worn a 9.5. So I guess this could be a litmus test: if you've ever worn a half size smaller shoe, go a full size smaller in this boot. Otherwise, just get your normal size. And half sized gals should definitely round down a full size, if not two.I chose these because I live in Wisconsin, where wet snow, ice, slush, mud, rain, and puddles occur throughout the year. I also work outside a lot and my backyard becomes a total mud pit any chance it gets. I wanted boots that were functional for working in the garden and then could be hosed off and worn to the farmer's market. Plus this style has so many colors, it will go with just about any outfit. Big bonus from some of the uggos out there. Would it kill L.L. Bean to make Wellies in something other than shit green/brown? I'll update this review if I run into further issues with these boots; otherwise I'm ready to rock this spring in style!
I've read a lot of the reviews and I have the feeling people think rain boots are going to fit like hiking boots. They are not. They are loose, not meant for long-wear and most definitely not for a long hike. I personally love them. I wore them to a yoga retreat where the weather was not looking good and a lot of rain was expected. Though we didn't get as much as was forecasted, Saturday night it poured down and was a muddy mess. These boots, though slightly loose (I wear an 8.5 and had to get a 9) they were great. I'd probably wear thicker socks and might consider putting in an insole not only for extra support but also, if you walk downhill, your feet slip down toward your the toe portion. The only thing so far I can say that I was disappointed with is that the colors on the boot itself were much more muted than what I saw here on Amazon. They were a bit duller. Otherwise, love the design and overall look. Just don't expect the comfort of tennis shoes. They are not that but they are also not uncomfortable either. Get some - I think you'll like them a lot.
I really liked getting these boots! I am really a 91/2 wide so I ordered the 10 M hoping that I could wear them even though they weren't a wide size. They are slightly too big all around, but for me that is okay. I have enough room, that if I want to, I can put in an arch support insole. They still were very comfortable even without the support as I wore them around the house most of the day.
I've been enjoying these boots for about a year. They draw lots of compliments. They have kept my feet dry so far. It doesn't rain all that much where I live but when it does it's nice to slip these on to wander about in the city or walk up in the hills. They are pretty, and the brightness of the hummingbird pattern is uplifting when it's grey out. It looks like they have different patterns than when I ordered a year ago. I'm normally a size 37 but went with the half size larger (7) cause my toes like space.I got used to the loose fit; thick socks work well, pant legs fit in the top; they aren't uncomfortable simply worn over tights under a skirt while carrying work shoes in a bag. The shape is more galosh'y then sleek what with the wider ankle profile. I haven't found the need for an alternate pair since I've had them. I'm not in a garden with them daily but they have held up well with sporadic use in mostly urban conditions. They still look new.I'd buy another pair if these wore out. I wish they had them in children's sizes too.
Ok ordered these on Mothers Day and they got here fast! I read the reviews and decided to take a chance ordered a 7... I am 6-7.5 and then if there is a choice of 5/6 or 7/8 I go with 7/8... These are a little big at a 7 on me. Gonna keep the and buy inserts because a 6 would prob be tight. As far as a round the calf.. It's fine I can tuck pants in. Not tight at all but I also have little legs, ankles. I am 5.4 hits me around 2 inches below my knee.. The material on the inside is nice for some reason I was thinking it would be just rubber but these suckers are lined with nice material and have cushion. Way nicer than regular boots... Really bought them to work outside in and do the weekend run to markets etc...but might rethink that because they are nicer than I expected..... We'll at least I know I'll have people asking me about them so darn cute. Last think.... I purpose walked on uneven ground crackle pavement sticks etc.... Couldn't feel a thing the soles are nice.. They are heavier than a normal shoe but I needed substance as to not fall soooo nice calves I will have.
