I usually love Naughty Monkey shoes! The quality is always top notch and the designs are so different. I really loved the color and look of these shoes. However, they are made of some kind of basket weave straw materical or something. When I got them out of the box they were already kind of falling apart near the sole and heel. I could just imagine with a couple wears they would just get worse. I take care of my shoes and I have a shoe man who resoles, cleans, patches and puts new tips on my heels. He would not have been able to fix these.
Good shoe. If you like shoes that are different, then this is it. However, I think that the picture looks better than the actual shoe.
Not very true to size. My normal size is an 8.5 and I was swimming in them.
I absolutely adore these shoes! too bad I bought them in a 10 instead of a 9 1/2 or 9. I really can't wear them. I'm so bummed. They are simply gorgeous and original.
Let me say that I haven't been as pleased when opening a shoe box as I was when I received these in a long time! They look even more fabulous in real life. I wore them for the first time on a night out with friends - only a few blocks of walking and then mostly sitting. Suffice it to say that I COULD NOT WAIT to get these shoes off! They are really uncomfortable: my toes were squished (even though there's room at the heel), and there is no padding on the sole. If you buy these, invest in some gel inserts for the heel and the ball of the foot. They look so great that I'll continue wearing them - I'll just put them on at the last moment!
I bought the green color, and I wore these shoes with a solid navy suit with a green collared shirt...EVERYONE I saw that day complimented me on my shoes! They're definitely a little bold, but they'll get you noticed! I usually wear an 8.5, but based on prior reviews I ordered an 8. I wouldn't want to walk 10 miles in these shoes by any means, but I was on my feet for 2+ hrs and wasn't miserable.Definitely worth the super saver price!!!
