The material quality is commendable; crafted from 100% leather, the Karenna not only looks elegant but also holds up well against daily wear. The cushioned footbed provides an exceptional level of comfort, especially beneficial if you plan to be on your feet for long periods. These are excellent. Good support, comfortable heel cup, adjustable for feet that swell or using with socks. Velcro straps are strong and hold well. Attractive. Best when broken in (the strap can be stiff) , but sooo comfortable. Like these so much that we bought this second pair as a backup.
I have been looking at various footwear brands that are considered to offer more support for your feet and this led me to Naot. I broke my foot (5th metatarsal fracture) seven months ago and still seeing a physical therapist to regain range of motion, strength, and mobility. I also have recurring plantar fasciitis and wear orthotics with my tennis shoes. I have been wearing tennis shoes since my break, but with summer rapidly approaching and my strength and ROM of foot improving, wanted to try to find sandals that would give me the support I need. This is my first pair of Naots and I just received them so these are my initial observations. They appear to be very well made. The leather is a little stiff (not to the point of being uncomfortable) but I think should soften up and mold to my feet in time. Out of the box, they are very comfortable, like really comfortable. I like the way this shoe has a leather band and that encloses your foot on the sides but opens at the toe and heel (with Velcro straps that you can tighten or loosen as needed). I’m still in a protective mode with my foot and these just feel more supportive to me now. The footbed is slightly more narrower than my Birkenstocks and is perceived to feel softer, slightly more cushioned. I normally wear a 6 1/2 and these are a 38 and it is a nice fit. The only negative I have at this point is that they are expensive, like I typically don’t buy shoes in this price range. But with that said, my feet issues have led me to investing in footwear brands that are designed for foot health and I hope I have discovered this with these.
Ok, I have flat feet, plantarfacetis (which I'm sure I spelled wrong) hee spurs. I wear a 7 1/2 and live in Asics all day so I go through several pair a year. I've tried so many brands of sandals I gave up until I saw a lady at a museum I was volunteering at In Wells County. I asked her, she was older and explained the brand, her foot problems, they were expensive BUT she wears them all the time, they looked brand new and were 5 years old. After the fair, I went Amazon shopping. Imagine my surprise that they don't only make sandals but other shoes as well and SO MANY. After researching, reading reviews, I chose this pair and anothe for several reason. One, they do have a small side to keep your foot in place, are adustable at toe and by ankle. The base looked like an off road tire for a small bike and had a supportive foot base. I LOVE THEM! I wore them all day the first day. No blisters, no foot or back pain (did I mention I have a horrible back that needs surgery?) Yes, the front part kinda needs mole skin underneath in a small area, but the strap fits back far enough that if a person has hammer toe, you are safe. The size says 7 1/2 -8 which is what I ordered, and it fits perfectly for a 7 1/2 foot. So in Eurpean in would be 39. The leather is very nice, smooth, good quality, not cheap. They came quickly and are well worth the price.I have a friend with high arches, and hammer toes, she tried mine and is ordering a pair. She paid over $200 for the sandals she has.
Love this sandal. It’s comfortable, provides support, molds to my foot.
The footbed is to die for. But the shoe runs narrow. Unfortunately, I had to return the pair.
The shoes are beautiful and well made. But, my wife was unable to wear them since the back strap, which is adjustable, rubbed her ankle as she walked. She loves NAOT products, but this one did not fit well.
I already had this shoe in brown for over 4 years. I have arthritis and other issues. These shoes are supportive and comfortable. So when I needed a pair of black sandals I went looking for these. Expensive, yes, but worth it!
This is the second pair of these I've purchased. I bought a pair several years ago (20+) and they're starting to look...sad. Because they're so comfortable and easy to wear, I purchased a second pair. These are well worth the money. The pair I purchased 20+ years ago are still viable and wearable, at least 3 - 5 more years of wear. There is visible wear and tear but they're not falling apart.Seller was prompt and shoes arrived in a timely manner.I have purchased more than one style and pair of Naots, & I have found that Naots - as a brand - do have a tendency to run on the smaller side. As a rule, I wear an EU 38; with Naots, I wear a 39. Naots also run a little narrow; however despite that my feet are a little on the wide side, this particular shoe fits extremely well.
