The winter of 2014 has finally persuaded me of the need for waterproof boots, but I wanted a pair I could a) wear in both snow and rain and b) get into easily when I have to take the dog out for her late night and early morning trips outside. These slip-on boots fit the bill- warm enough for winter, but comfortable in thin socks on warmer days and easy to put on. Great, nice thick treads so I feel secure following my dog over packed ice and up muddy park hills and absolutely waterproof so I don't have to leap over puddles when pushing my preschooler in the stroller. With skinny jeans I even don't look like too much of a dork wearing them. ;)Thanks to other reviewers here who noted that the boot (which comes only in whole sizes) runs large; I am a half-size and so ordered down, rather than up, as I usually would. The fit is perfect, even on my wide feet.
These boots are sturdy and will last well using in the woods.
These boots are lightweight, and super comfortable. They also fit well with larger calves. Very happy with them!
I volunteer at an animal rescue mostly working with horses and some other 'barnyard' animals like donkeys and pigs. I bought these boots so that I could walk in mud and really in anything without worrying about it. I've now worn these in both warm weather and really cold weather, and work in paddocks that sometimes get super muddy to the point of your feet sinking above your ankle. These boots keep my feet 100% dry and warm, and when I'm done with my volunteer shift I just turn the hose on and spray them off before I get in my car. I'm glad I made the decision to pay a little more for these than basic rain boots, they are very hard working and I'm sure I'll have them forever.
These boots do their job. They are comfortable but make sure you wear extra high socks or thick pants because they rub your leg a bit. I wish they were lighter in weight but not a deal breaker. Definitely the most comfortable for my foot that I have found on the market. I use these for my job - great quality!
Very well made and comfortable. I work in the woods and the swamps and in rough terrain, and so far they seem as waterproof as described, and work well for wading through nearly knee deep, even icy water. But please note, they run large. I am a 6 1/5, and had to exchange the 7s for a 6, which are still roomy enough even with thick socks and pant legs tucked into them. I have narrow feet and calves, so this may why ordering up as suggested did not work for me.Also, the other archaeologists and biologists I work with swear by this brand and model.
I knew these were great boots, but I didn't expect them to be this comfortable. I love how easy they are to slip on and off, and being able to fold them down to basically half size makes them seem like two great pairs of boots. Great in the mud, and will be helpful when we go metal detecting by the lake and ocean, and I'm sure these boots are going fishing at some point, too. Definitely recommend.
These boots are meant to keep your feet warm and dry, and a bonus is that they are very comfortable to hike in! I will admit, at first I thought they were to large, BUT with a pair of nice thick socks they were perfect. They are not "style" boots; they are hardworking boots! We did a hike to, around, and behind a waterfall and I was able to walk right through even not so shallow water. They made the hike so much more fun! They also had excellent grip which saved me from falling on my backside more than once! I have issues with my feet being cold all the time, even when the weather is not so cold and these boots are perfect for helping with that. Lastly, I will just note that I love the toe protection! My feet are constantly trod upon by my children, dog, and dare I even say on occasion my husband... it is nice to have at least one pair of boots that armor my poor, abused feet!
