I had to work to get my feet into the boots, but that was just the first time. As soon as I got them on and walked around, they conformed to my feet. They are gorgeous and very comfortable. They seem tight at first, but that goes away after you wear them for a couple hours, and then it's as if they were custom made for your feet.
Okay- I read all the reviews before I bought these and yes...they are a little snug when you first get them out of the box and put them on, but being leather, they give a little as you wear them. The soles are very soft and flexible, though there is not a lot of arch support. If you need it, then I would encourage you to order up a size or half size to give you room to put in an insert for added arch support. Now, let me just say this: THEY ARE AMAZING!!! They are incredibly well made, beautiful, the calf is not too tight and not too loose, it's a great fit without being tight on my legs and they fit perfectly with my skinny jeans/leggings and everything else I've paired them with. I love these boots. I've looked at them for a few years and finally decided to have them for myself this year as a little treat and they are SO worth it. If you're inbetween sizes, go up. If you need extra support, go up. Otherwise....be prepared for the cuteness!!!
I read a lot of reviews before I decided to purchase this particular boot. I was somewhat hesitant due to some negative reviews; however I decided to take the chance. I am between a 7 and a 7 1/2 with shoes and boots. After reading other reviews, I decided to order an 8. I am 5'2" and I have slim but athletic calves. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to zip these up. I tried them on with a thinner sock and had a little room on the sides of my foot, as well as by my toes. I have a very narrow foot, so I can see some people having problems with this. The boots zipped up fine; however I do not have really any room to spare. I believe that they may stretch a bit, or so I have heard. I can probably wear them with leggings but that's it for now. They will not fit over skinny jeans. Overall, they are made better than I expected, and they are so incredibly comfortable. The boots fall right under my knee, so they are very tall. I highly recommend these boots. The only negative to these shoes, is they do not come in half sizes.
These boots are beautiful.Do not read reviews telling you to size up.Boots are narrow but will “stretch out” with time.The width does not change, the length does.So if you’re a size 9…. Order a size 9.
I tried my girlfriends on then I ordered half the size bigger because they almost fit me perfectly. Then, when my order arrived, they were two size 2 small, and as narrow as a ruler, I gave them away to somebody that were a size 8, but more like a six. Total disappointment.
If they came in wide they would have been perfect. I normally wear a 6 1/5 wide. I ordered size 7 because they say "True to fit" so I went by that. If these were soft sole they would have fit better but the rubber sole makes them hard and less flexible. I'm going to put my boot stretcher in them to stretch out the width rather then return because they only need to stretch out a little in the width to fit comfortably. Moccasins do conform to your feet the more you wear them but I don't want to wait that long.I will order another pair in the future but I will order a size 8 and insert arch supporters to compensate for the extra room.Thank goodness for the zipper!Beautiful boots. Well made as usual and aside from the narrow rubber sole, they feel great.I have legs. No skinny calfs. They zip up snug. If you have skinny calves you may need some stuffing to fill them out. There's plenty of room to stuff your Jean's into the boots. I won't be able to because my calves fill them up.I expect these to last for year's.I got the dusty brown and next pair I'll get a different color and size up from a 7 to an 8 UNLESS they have a "WIDE" available. I'm use to SOFT SOLE and didn't take that into consideration when I purchased these with hard rubber solesUPDATE I bought a boot stretcher and leather conditioner and fixed the problem in 24 hour's. They fit perfectly now. Well girls I am a little disappointed in this moccasin of the 5 fringe. I wanted to wear it bare foot and when I put my foot in it the insole feels like sand paper. Really rough. Now ladies I have very thin calf's and feet and it actually fit my calf and feet with no room to spare. This is a very thin high moccasin. Anyone with large calves I don't know if it will work for you. You will just have to take a gamble on them. I bought a size 7 which is my normal size and it fit perfectly with less than 1/4" room at the end for my toes. Other than the insole the moccasin is gorgeous and with thin socks fits really nice. I am truly pleased with this moccasin but I don't think it has the quality of the past from minnetonka. I haven't bought these for over 40 yrs and I will keep them and try to soften the innersole. It is the first time I have bought a high boot that actually fit my thin calves and feet so I am pleased with them. I suggest them for anyone, so take a gamble as the price is excellent for these moccasins and worth a little problem that can be solved.
