I was really hesitant to purchase these boots due to some of the other customer reviews, but they were so cute, I gave them a try. I've been wearing them nonstop since I got them a couple of weeks ago. I love them! They were a smidge stiff to begin with, but after a couple of hours they broke in quite nicely. I think they are comfortable, and they are indeed waterproof. I say buy them!
I was really surprised to experience how comfortable they are right out of the box, because several reviews said needs a lot of breaking in. People also called them fashion hiking boots. I don’t think they’re attractive at all. But, I think they’re seriously good hiking boots! For me, they are extremely comfortable really well cushioned and I hike in the mud a lot. These guys didn’t slip anywhere. And so far waterproof. I went on and bought another pair of a different color while they were on sale. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
I really like the boots, they’re comfortable and stylish, but I would be nervous to do an actual hike with these or any extended outdoor activities. They’re “vegan leather” aka plastic so I think a few hard scuffs would create an issue, especially in the toe area. But, with all that said, I didn’t buy these for a hike so they’re great to me. If you’re looking for a rugged & tough boot, these aren’t it. If you’re looking to stay decently warm when you’re walking to and from your car or work, these hit the mark. They’re fashion boots, not hikers.
The toe tip adhesive of the sole failed and started coming off after only a few weeks. They are comfortable and the peeling has not gotten worse but first 1/2inch is flapping in the wind. :-(
TBD how these will do on longer treks, but for 'adventuring' around our acreage, they're great so far. Went for a quick walk this morning, and hilly, wet ground and a scramble were NO problem for the shark-tooth tread on these! They're a bit stiff, but I expect that to improve as I break them in. Waited to snag these on sale, and what a deal. Will update if they're uncomfortable or not durable over the long haul...
I wore these for one- five hour hike resulting in many blisters. the toe box is chewed up, scuffed and worn down as if I’ve worn them for multiple years over many hikes and terrains. I cannot recommend these at all.
the toes scuffed away on my second INDOOR wear. Crawling around on the carpet with kiddos scuffed the boots beyond wear... I'd pay $20 and wear them hiking.... but not worth full price. Very disappointing since they were so comfortable!
These shoes got me up a 6 1/2 hour hike on a volcano with little to no discomfort. Good grip and good fit. Would recommend.
