It's a great ankle high boot. Comfortable, and with its stretch band at the top it keeps dirt and rocks out. I wore similar types in Afghanistan and put them in some really harsh daily beating. Keep them clean and they will last you. This is also a good boot for guys that use equipment whete you use your feet to operate floor mounted functions as the forx band at the top allows a goid range of motion.
Not an immediate jump in and go …good at ankle and sole strength to wear all the time. I modified tongue, cut to enhance foot entry. Will get different laces according to mission requirements.
I was to excited when I opened the box. I picked the boot up and gave a look and absolutely loved everything about it. But, the hole in which I need stick my foot in was incredibly small. I attempted to try the boot on and was extremely disappointed because my medium width foot would not go into the boot. I tried to stretch the opening but to no avail, my foot would not fit into the boot.I’ve got to return the Dark Olive Merrill’s, sadly. What a disappointment that Merrell chose this particular way to dawn a boot, unbelievable. I don’t know how other’s were able to get their boots on. I thought about buying a shoe horn but I don’t even think that’ll work.I’m open to any suggestions before I return.
I am really satisfied with these shoes. I found the slip resistant to actually work. My foot is pretty slim, so my feet slipped right in, the way some customers felt like the insert was too small. Actually the part in the ankle still leaves a little room too. But the boots are extremely comfortable. I stand the majority of my day, and with boots and some shoes my knees can grow weak and it could be painful sometimes. But wearing these shoes with the sole inserts it came with, they are almost perfect. No fatigue whatsoever. I’ve already spilled some water while mopping directly on them, I haven’t done a full waterproof test, but no water got in. My feet weren’t sweating in them… The boots look great in my opinion too. Really like the style of them. My only complaint if even one is the laces are a little too long when I tie and tighten my boots snug. 5/5 definitely going to buy more pairs of these.
might still be a good boot to wear. I had Merrell before. they make great shoesi wish it looked like on the pictures. design is cool, execution unfortunately not on the same levelsent back
These are great definitely oil and slip resistant like stated, but if you like wearing no show socks like me it does rub your ankles alot.
