Performance: Designed for rigorous outdoor activities, the M Select DRY technology prevents water intrusion and manages moisture effectively, making these boots suitable for wet terrains. The bellows tongue further aids in keeping dirt and debris at bay, allowing you to focus on your adventure.
Fit and Support: With an ankle shaft height of 5 inches, these boots provide substantial support, especially beneficial for long hikes. However, some users have noted that those with wider feet might find the shaft circumference slightly restricting.

I never write reviews, but this boot is unbelievable. To start when you first put them on they take some time getting used to. If you get your correct size they fit perfect to your foot with great ankle support. The arch support is what takes some getting used. It’s somewhat high but extremely comfortable. I’m on my feet all day, 8-12 hours and after the first hour or two of breaking them in, this is hands down the most comfortable work shoe I’ve ever had. For me it is everything you could ask for in work or hiking boot. Zero discomfort after breaking them in, sturdy with great ankle and arch support while being on my feet and constantly moving all day. I would highly recommend this boot.
Most the time you buy boots or shoes for a specific activity such as running, hiking, dressing casual or going out. You put a new pair on after sometime that day your feet hurt in some spots and not comfortable to walk anymore until your feet don’t hurt…. Not the case at all with these boots I work 12 hour shifts spending about 9 hours on my feet 2 hours watching/monitoring cameras and give or take another hour doing patrols, and walking to another post to release other officers. Since purchasing these boots I find myself wanting to wear them with my outfits for everyday use just for the fact I know no matter what my feet will be comfortable, dry and not soar for my next shift. Was extremely impressed by the interior of the boot aswell as how light the boot is especially if you walk a lot your feet and back will thank you for the purchase
These boots are very well made. Mud, snow, gravel and sand, just hose them off (they are water proof) and just like new. I bought a second pair i like them so much. A little tight (I've gotten older and noticed that with a lot of my boots and shoes) but big deal i bought a shoe horn so I can slip in and out of them without retying them. For the quality of boots the price is more than fair.
I work at Discount Tire as a Service Tech and I've been using these boots at work exclusively for a month now. On the job we do a lot of kneeling, squatting, lifting, and occasional running. So far, these boots have performed pretty well. I've been using them during the winter season and here in Colorado it's been quite cold with some occasional snow storms. These boots have done an exceptional job at keeping my feet warm, as well as keeping them dry. The insulation hasn't been a problem on the warmer days so far, either. The Vibram outsole is pretty comfortable but nothing amazing, in my opinion. The overall build quality of the boot is very solid, considering all the kneeling I've done and all the times I've used the boots to lift big, heavy tires/wheels up onto truck hubs. My only complaint with the boots is that when I first received the boots, the toe box of the right boot was quite uncomfortable when I would kneel. It felt like there was a hardened spot on the fabric that would dig into the right part of my foot, above my pinky toe. This seemed to go away after a couple weeks of break-in, though. Another thing to note: the boots were rather large; I ordered my true size: 11 Wide, but the boots felt like they were a whole size too long. However, this is my first time owning a pair of Merrell's so I don't know how they size. My fault for not establishing that at my local store before hand. Overall, I would recommend these boots and these most likely won't be the last pair of Merrel's I own.
Great Boot!!
I bought these for tactical operations use. They did not disappoint. They are comfortable and durable.
Great fit, well made, he wears them all the time.
The faux leather on the toe areas is starting to develop deep cracks on both boots. They are only 8 months old and I wear them only once a month or so and only for short periods of time. The few times I've worn them were either a 20 minute walk with my pup or for less than 3 hours to meet up with friends at a restaurant, so they've never even seen any real use. Seems to be a flaw in the material as I have sketchers boots sitting next to them which are almost a year older than these, have been my only shoes on several week long Vegas trips(lots of walking) and some daily errands, however I don't see any cracking on those or my heavier Columbia boots that are 4 years old and have seen daily walks up and down a steep hill, travel to southern California and Vegas and hard outdoor yard use. These Merrill boots have good ankle support but are less comfortable than my other boots when walking on any inclines. I really wonder on durability with the material shown cracking so badly with so little light use.
