When considering the Merrell Men's Moab 2 Gtx Hiking Shoe, it’s essential to evaluate several factors. Comfort is a standout feature; many users report being able to wear these shoes all day without discomfort. The use of synthetic leather and mesh contributes to a lightweight feel while maintaining durability.
In terms of performance, the GORE-TEX waterproof membrane excels in keeping your feet dry during wet hikes, making these shoes ideal for various weather conditions. The molded nylon arch shank provides necessary support, ensuring stability on uneven surfaces.
Another significant aspect is the traction offered by the Vibram TC5+ sole. This feature enhances grip, allowing for confident movement on slippery or rocky terrains.
However, it's worth noting that individuals with wider feet might find the sizing a bit snug, so consider trying them on before purchasing. Additionally, while the quality justifies the cost, budget-conscious buyers might explore other options.

Great all around shoes for work or play. Waterproofing is great if you’re in and out of the weather. Comfortable and look good enough to wear to a meeting.
It fits right, and it feels light. I'll wait few months before I update this review.
...say - Size 12 (mid width). Feels good for walk and light hikes. Toes have no problem. Foot Pronation okay for me. Generally these are ~60%~ effective @ rain resistance. Handsome design in beluga. Look'n good. Soles may pick up a pebbles. Laces work okay imo. Treat these shoes with 'respect' if you want them to last...
15 to 20 years ago, I use to have trouble with pain on the bottom of my right foot when I would walk far. The athletic shoes I was wearing at the time all had a three section almost "articulated" construction design on the bottom of the shoe. I found my first pair of Merrill's on sale and bought them because they were "on sale". Shortly after I started wearing them I noticed my foot no longer hurt me. This caused me to examine the shoe to determine why it was different. That is when I noticed the Merrill didn't have the "three" section tread design. Now 20 year and probably 20 pairs of Merrill's later they are the only brand of shoes I'll buy. No more pain! Amazon has better prices than the Merrill outlet store! I go to the store to find what I like and try the shoe on and then come home and order the same shoe from Amazon and save $20! Plus free returns if needed! Do your feet a favor if you have never worn a pair of Merrill's give them a try...I think you will like them! (Another thing I love about them is the little "pull-on" finger ring on the back of all Merrill's is actually big enough to fit your finger in!)
Good quality
No need to write much, Merrell have always been great for me.Had purchased a couple pairs of the unknown brands hiking shoes that look good, but they were very uncomfortable to walk in and returned those the next day.I use the Merrill’s for casual, walking, hiking and golf. Most mid priced or even higher priced golf shoes don’t last very long these days and I think the Merrell hiking shoes work just as good. Purchased these to see how the Gor-Tex feature holds up.
Seen on Amazon,Took a chance, the biggest thing was the VIBRAM soles. I've had those soles on boots with great success for many years. The Goretex waterproofing was definate plus. But the best thing about these shoes is the comfort. OMG are they comfortable. I have a very high arch and finding comfy shoes is very hard. MERRELL has knocked it out of the park with these shoes for ppl who want a hiking shoe to perform like a boot these are a must buy.
These shoes will out last several pairs of 50 dollar shoes. I have yet to see the rubber sole detach from the shoe. You can get them wet and they still last. I cut the grass in these things. They are indestructible. The pair I have are 6 years old.
