I had a pair of these boots for two years before they finally got destroyed. Typically military boots last me 6-9 months at most. These are discontinued and no longer available from the manufacturer, bought two pair to last me as long as I can get.Favorite boots I've ever owned. You may not like them, but they were awesome for me. Expect the sole to crack and the upper to separate at the seam. If you're not rough on them, they will last even longer. Daily use for 2 years+
Till now, after about a month of daily use in construction sites, they seem to be of a good quality. They hold the ankle really well, don't loose their shape, my feet are dry at the end of the shift. Easy to pull them on and off, even without opening the zip fastener. And, btw, no unpleasant smell of the feet after a 10 hours shift. For the moment I think I've done a good investment.
I've been intrigued with duty boots for a long time, but I was afraid that they wouldn't stand up to the abuse that my work boots get. My wife has always liked Merrill products, so I decided to give these a try. Granted, I haven't had them long, but I think they are great! These were the easiest boots to break in that I have ever worn! Incredibly comfortable from day one! Easy on/off. And light! OMG, they are like wearing sneakers! That makes me wonder how rugged they are, but I'm being open minded. Of course, time will tell... So far, so good!
Was waiting for these to arrive today. Got them about an hour ago, hfs. I don’t need to wear them now that I’m home, but I don’t want to take them off. Not just comfortable, but to me, a great looking pair of boots too. Very attractive, the pictures on these don’t do these justice, much better in person. I’ve got another pair of merrel hiking boots I bought back in ‘06, I can’t wear those things out. I’ve tired of wearing them, so here I am buying another pair, don’t know if they’ll last as long as my other pair I’ve got. I’ll find out b/c these I’m going to be wearing a lot. If you’re on the fence with these, spend the extra money, you’ll be happy that you did. Might order another pair in black, just to have.
Not super comfy, but also not terrible. Zipper has been working great for a year so far, but I leave it unzipped mostly, for easy don/doff. Got some rain the other day and my toes got soggy, so def not waterproof. I’ll be looking for something different.
I have never worn their military style boots, I have worn several other brands. I wear them for work and these right out of the box are by far the most comfortable and very little break in needed. I ordered a 9 and fit was perfect. If they hold up decent I will be wearing these for a long time.
No arch support at all, I use it for work today hutch I am on my feet the whole day these boots kill my feet I am very disappointed with them
No review! They were to big.
