Very nice shoes! I’m very picky (just ask my wife ). I really like the look of the shoes and their stain resistance.I have flat feet so usually I need a larger shoe since my feet tend to spread and flatten out when I walk.The shoes were a little larger compared to what I usually purchase. If you have a question of whether the shoes will fit you or not, I will suggest buying a slightly smaller pair of shoes.I bought a pair of 10 1/2 size shoes and to my surprise they were slightly big Since I have flat feet.I like the look so much that I didn’t want to return them. So what I did was to simply put on two pairs of dress socks so I felt really comfortable in them.The only part that troubled me is, when I bought the shoes cost $89. One week after I receive the shoes, the price increase by 100+ dollars. They’re definitely worth $89 but I don’t think I would’ve purchased them for close to $200.

I just received these shoes a few days ago, and I've worn them around the house and out for a couple of walks, including one walk in damp conditions. I was immediately very happy with them!Details below...PACKAGINGThe shoes arrived in a simple shipping bag, protected inside in a good shoe box, with no extra plastic. Good job on keeping waste to a minimum!STYLEThese shoes are really attractive and make a very good first impression. The color is rich, and the overlapping panels are done very tastefully. Something is just right about the look. The designers did a nice job here. These shoes might be considered "fancy," and I intend to save them for nicer occasions rather than daily walking. However, they are "too fancy," so I think they could be fine for what I would call "nice casual" occasions as well. They work either way!MATERIALS AND FITThe leather has a great feel -- substantial, but pliant. I'm a size 9, and the fit was right on, comfortable the first time I wore them. The laces tighten up easily and snug down smoothly in the center of the shoe. The shoes taper to a more narrow width in front, which is part of the design. It fits well for me, but it's possible this might affect the sizing for some people.BOTTOMSThe bottoms have a good gripping design. I tested the shoes on wood, tile, and linoleum flooring and they give a secure, sure feel. Outside, the bottoms offer some extra grip on slightly wet surfaces. With that said, however, I don't think shoes this nice should be worn in wet conditions!CONCLUSIONI'm very happy with these shoes and really like the look and the fit. They are nicely designed, and fall comfortably between "fancy" and "attractive but casual."

Third pair I ordered; first pair didn’t fit, next two pairs were scuffed and unacceptable.Will try once again!

My feet really started hurting while wearing them ... soon after the return window.I have narrow feet so getting the heels not to pop out is a bit of a challenge. Tightening these laces if difficult too. There's very little support where the heel ends and my foot is killing me on the outside region just above where the heel hits. I can't wear them anymore.They also ran 1/2 size bigger than my other shoes.They look nice ... I liked them ... wasted my money. :( Won't be buying shoes online again. Bad idea.

The nice thing about the design on these shoes is that they will work as dress shoes and with formal wear - you could confidently wear them to a wedding - but they'll also function in more casual settings without making you seem overdressed. Also, they're super stylish and very, well-made. Top of the line pair of shoes. My only complaint is that they seem to fit a bit small, because they're pointy on the end. So you might want to buy a half-size up.

These shoes have but one con. Just ONE. They are the slipperiest shoes I've ever owned in my life. While trying them on I almost fell when I started walking because I wasn't expecting it.That being said, these are gorgeous, high quality, comfortable shoes that I can't say enough good things about! SO MANY people have complimented them! I've never owned a pair of shoes that my friends/family have been envious over until now. I feel like Bob in the episode of Bob's Burgers where he gets the awesome suit and people start treating him differently! Ha Ha! I wish I could wear these every day!The fit is spot on.They came in a gorgeous black box with the branding printed on it in gold. Black tissue paper inside, and included a matching black/gold felt dust bag. A nice touch, for sure. Adds even more lux to the shoes while they wait for me in the closet. :)

Slippery when on anything but carpet. I've fallen about times wearing these things. Other then that, get a size up if you have wide feet like I do, then the pointed toe doesn't crush your toes.

Overall, I am very happy with this pair of shoes. The MARC JOSEPH NEW YORK Men's Leather Luxury Gold Collection Captoe Laceup Dress Shoe in Black has been a great addition to my wardrobe. The size 10 fits exactly, and comfortably as expected. They look sharp both with darker color suits for formal wear and with just slacks for more casual events.Unlike most leather shoes, they are ready to wear right out of the box. I have worn them a handful of times now without issue. No stiffness or leather to break in. The souls offer a good amount of support and stability while walking, no worries wearing these all day long.Overall, the smooth and textured patterns on these shoes blend handsomely together to make a very stylish pair of shoes. Marc Joseph quality is evident in these shoes, and I know they will see lots of use and last for years to come. Very happy with them so far!
