This pair of boots gotten several compliments, good quality, comfortable.
8,5 was like 9, but everything else was fine
I have several pairs of Lugz and always wear their size US Mens 9 (EU 42.5). I don't need them for heavy work, so I like them because they're lightweight which makes them perfect for casual kicking around the streets/hills of San Francisco. I saw these were on sale and decided to grab a pair as they look a bit "dressier" than my other pairs and they were out of size 9, so I took a chance on the 8.5 hoping they wouldn't be too small. As soon as they arrived I could see my concerns were wholly unfounded, as they were actually quite large compared to Lugz usual sizing. So much so that I knew I couldn't keep them, but still liked the boots, so decided to return to exchange for a size 8 which arrived today and they're STILL too large. It's now apparent the size I need in this design is a 7.5 (41.5 EU), which I haven't worn since I was a teenager (in ANY brand, not just Lugz). I haven't even gotten my refund for the first pair yet (still in transit back to the seller), so I'm reluctant to start yet ANOTHER return, but I honestly think that's what I'll end up doing. Again, these look nice for what I need (just a somewhat dressier looking option for certain occasions), but just a heads-up, buyers may want to go down at least one FULL size than usual (if you take a 10, you may need to size down to a 9 or smaller; if you take a 9, you may need to go down to an 8 or even smaller, etc).
I like the zipper on the side.
I bought these by mistake, but was hopeful for a quality product. I don't understand why I am reading reviews of these being comfortable. I don't find them particularly comfortable at all. Additionally, the soles mark my floors with black stripes, so I can't wear them in my house. Looking forward to a more genuine pair of boots.
Fits really well
Skeptical but optimistic...SO, out of the box (first impressions). They seem decent enough. Straightforward and to the point. The synthetic material does look nice for the most part but it also seems slightly rubberized. To be expected for being both synthetic and affordable. Not a real drawback. They still appear very nice. Let's be honest, Docs often have that patent look that is border line plastic so... The soles don't appear super rugged either. HOWEVER...and this is a BIG however...when I put them on I was very pleasantly surprised. I have no arches whatsoever. Born without. Yet, these were comfortable right out of the box without even bothering to break them in. Added some cheap memory foam insoles and even better. Wore them for about 11 hours from their delivery till just before writing this (most of which standing, some slight driving) and honestly if the tongues would've been more broken in I probably could've left them on to sleep. They're no pillows or clouds, but they do not hurt me in the least and now that they are off, my feet don't care either way. They're simply good with them and that's the key to shoe shopping right? So overall, I say yeah the price is probably about $15-$20 higher than I think they should cost the public and as I just got them I don't know how long they will last yet or how they will fare against labor etc. BUT I can say from my first impressions I would definitely given these a second look at the very least because they look good, feel great, and with the added zipper they are convenient too.
