These do slip a bit in the heel like other reviewers mentioned. That being said, I wore them for 16+ hours with no issues. They fit true to size and had enough support to get me through the day.
There's a ton of reviews saying that the shoe fits too big, that your heels slips up when you walk, and that the back of the shoe is flimsy, I was so nervous to order this shoe because of all the not-so-great reviews! But I am so thankful I did!!!First off, I wear an women's 8, my foot is a tad wide, and in heels, I wear an 8.5; you can imagine how I felt ordering a 7.5 W! I was so scared the shoe wasn't even going to fit - but it did! They were a little bit snug, but I knew the leather would stretch as I wore them.I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THE BACK OF THE SHOE SLIPPING UP. I always wear "no show" socks with mine (because ew, why would you wear leather flats w/o socks. that is my question to ya'll.) I just have the Walgreens brand no show socks, so they aren't fancy or anything. I have not noticed the back of the shoe being flimsy; i have never worn the back folded in, so maybe if you wear them like that frequently you could weaken the heel.A few things:- I have put my foot in them without the no-show socks on, and of course, they are bigger without the socks. I think wearing shoes without socks is super gross, but if you don't, and anticipate always wearing them without socks, I would recommend ordering a full size down than what you regularly wear. If you anticipate wearing no-show socks order half a size down.- I am very particular about my feet - i like to have wiggle room in my shoes; ordering half-size down was perfect. Just keep wearing them, they WILL stretch! I wear mine to work every (and I walk a good bit) and they are so comfy! Supportive and trendy,Don't let the other reviews scare you into missing out on a great pair of shoes!
I got these in my regular size -- 9.5 -- and they are extremely comfortable. They were slipping off a bit so I followed reviewers and ordered them in 9. After wearing both, I returned the 9 and kept the 9.5 because the 9 felt tight, while at the same time slipping off because of the non-structured ankle. In short, both of them slip off a bit -- the fact that the 9 was tighter on my foot did not mean it wouldn't slip. I actually felt it was more annoying because it would slip and get under my heels while the 9.5s feel a lot more comfortable -- my heels slide back in when walking without the back collapsing. Since ordering, I barely want to wear anything else. Totally recommended!
I love these shoes! This is my 3rd pair! I also have it in brown. They are my go to shoes for work… I had the first pair for years and wore them out!
It did not support my foot as I have a very high arch. Disappointed because I really liked the appearance.
I needed some good looking loafers for work, but wanted something really simple and minimalist. I'd had my eyes on these shoes for a while and decided to spring for a black pair, so they'd go with most anything. The biggest concern I had was the heel slipping out, which is happening just as I feared. The heel isn't uncomfortable, but it's so flimsy. While the appearance of this shoe leads you to believe that they want you to be able to fold the back down and wear them like sandals, I honestly can't see wearing them that way. The seam doesn't bend in the way it's intended and it doesn't seem it'd be comfortable to wear with the back pushed down and walked on. I feel like they could've completely done without that in the design. The shape of the shoe/toe box looks good, but because the back of the shoe doesn't have much structure to hold you in place, your foot slides up as you walk, and the toe box is a little tight for that, but there's some give and I'm hoping it'll accommodate with more wear. There is no cushioning or support in this shoe whatsoever. It's exactly what it looks like, a hard bottom (there is some grip on the bottom of it, but not much) with a wood base, some basic liner at the bottom inside, and then the leather cover/top. That's it. I feel like for the price there could be more to it, maybe a little cushioning at least? I'll buy some things to insert and hope that helps with my issues.Anyway, I'm going with 3 stars because (1) the design feels like it could've been improved while kept simple and (2) I think for what I'm getting, the price could be a little lower. But it's worth noting, the price of these shoes has been a little bit inconsistent on this listing. This black pair was something like $57 when I should've bought it, but it went back up to $62.99 - such is the way of shopping on Amazon though. 🤷♀️
Ordered 2 pair, both 5.5's. The suede leopard print fits PERFECT. The tan pair are much more supple and loose and slide off my heel. Afraid to try the dampen and blow dry method to shrink the tan pair so I ordered adhesive leather heel pads (available on amazon) and they keep them in place much better. I am concerned how much they may stretch with a few wears as I had mentioned already the leather is so soft and supple. I will say overall (size issue aside) the tan is so much more soft and buttery. I certainly feel like these are a casual shoe. The leather will not look brand new after your first wear. If youre looking for a dress loafers this isnt it. The suede type have kept their "new" look much better and might work better for workwear. Hope this helps!
At first I really liked these shoes and found them acceptable for comfort though they were not comfortable enough for a whole day of walking. The problem is that the material is REALLY thin. At first, I liked it because it was soft and comfortable. After just a few wears though, the shoes had stretched beyond belief. I've never seen shoes stretch this much after just a few wears. I can no longer wear them as they will not stay on my feet.
