I was not happy that I had to pay nearly half of the product to the customs in South Africa to release these goods. I thought taxes was taken care of in the price. But had to pay a further 50 percent so the product cost a fortune.
this is my 5th pair of Lowas as they are so comfortable for my wide feet. Just choose the next size up than your regular size i.e. i am a size 12 but get the size 13's M. This company is in Italy but has quicker shipping than domestic. very happy.
A+
Just had the Representative from Lowa hang up on me. Don't take their warranty seriously if you're considering buying Lowa boots. Got these boots in May last year, by December the stitching was coming apart at the toe line. I wore them for awhile until it got too bad. I contacted them and they said "because the boots are at the end of their life, we can't help you" No where in the warranty is that said, it's 12 months from defects. The stitching is coming apart the same spot both sides, both boots. So I guess 7 months is the life of 200$ Lowa boots? He then said, "We're offering a 20% discount, take it or leave it, doesn't matter to me." I would recommend you use them gently and not often. Just something to keep in mind.
The boots seem like high quality boots, but they do hurt my feet some because their sizing is not accurate. The posting says they are sized as normal and you should order your usual shoe size. I wear US men's 9.5R size shoes, so I ordered the same size for these boots. Boy I wish I ordered size 10 instead because they are just not big enough, both length and width.
Boots was over $210 and shoe lace torn. Sent an email to customer service and was told to buy a new lace for $7.95. Really?
