This is, I believe, the sixth pair of safety-toe Keen shoes or boots that I have purchased to wear for 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing facility. I have been wearing Keen boots for about seven years now and have liked more pairs than I haven't. This boot style is a new one for me, so I'm a little worrisome about how they're going to work out.I will update this review as they wear in, but for day one: they feel really well-built and solid. Every other pair I have purchased have been leather-based and these are some kind of synthetic material, so this is a departure from normal. I expected them to be lighter than they are considering the material. They feel pretty comfortable on my feet, but that is an expectation for Keen boots. My regular size of 10.5 fits perfect; some other reviews say the sizing is a little off, but mine feel great.
Heavy but they are awesome! Comfortable. They are a bit heavy and not very breathable but they are some of my favorite pair of work shoes.
These are very nice keen low top work shoes. I love the fact that they are water proof as I work in Ultaviolet Water disinfection systems. They look nice and are durable. My one issue which I know is difficult to manufacture, is more comfort and a lighter shoe. It would be nice not to feel like you’re wearing anchors. Having said that it’s not like these are worse than any other, and that’s comparing to everyday shoes. These are definitely a go to. I will get a high top version.
It feels indestructible yet very comfortable(well i did replace the cushinung with the cushioning from my sparta's because the previous was kinda not cushy). However, in total the shoes weigh like 3.5 pounds(but i only notice the weight when holding them) and when the shoes first arrived they were kinda stiff so I bent, twisted, and creased them as much i could which fixed the problem(without changing the appearance at all). Fits true to size, I woried about that for a bit. Now in some review images it looks kinda like a brick, it doesn't look like that irl
These are noisy shoes, make a popping sound where the crease on top of the shoe is when walking. Other than that, these are great for someone who really likes walking fast.
Bought this shoe to replace my hiking style of Keen boots. I was hopeful that the toe and shoe design would make the shoes lighter than my current boots. Unfortunately there is no difference in weight. The shoe also ran very narrow in the toe box. I ordered my size wide (EE), and it’s almost like the shoe uses the exact same toe cap for regular and wide feet. My old Keen boots are the exact same size, and the toe box is much more comfortable straight out of the box. Big miss on a premium shoe.
