Detailed Review

When it comes to finding the perfect work boot, the KEEN Utility Men's Juneau Romeo Waterproof Comp Toe Boot stands out for several reasons. The construction quality is top-notch, utilizing premium leather sourced from LWG-certified tanneries. This adds to its eco-friendliness while providing the durability expected from a work boot.

The comfort level is impressive, largely due to the KEEN Luftcell technology that significantly enhances cushioning. Whether you're walking on concrete or spending time standing up, these boots help reduce fatigue. Additionally, the non-metallic carbon-fiber toes contribute to a lighter weight without sacrificing safety, a feature many hardworking individuals will appreciate.

Let’s talk performance: the waterproof aspect ensures that rain or spills won't hinder your progress. This makes them excellent for outdoor work scenarios where exposure to moisture is inevitable. Furthermore, the electrical hazard protection offers peace of mind for those in environments involving potential electrical risks.

On the flip side, some users have noted that the sizing may feel slightly larger than expected; hence, trying them on before purchase or opting for a half size down might be advisable. Additionally, while the boot's price reflects its quality and the materials used, it could be viewed as an investment rather than a budget option.

Excelent Keen Quality

The Fit is as expected. Comfortable all day long.I have a very wide foot and higher than average instep which makes them a bit difficult to get on and off. I LOVE THEM even though a boot puller is a must for me to put them on and a shoe horn helps get them off. With the slip resistant sole I am confident working on wet tile floors. The last KEEN boots I bought have lasted 4 years worn all day every day and still are in good condition (not the same style)I am a dedicated KEEN fan.

They are not to size

I have 3 pair of slip on boots all made from different brands and each one of them has something similar in nature they slip on and slipped off with a little extra force! These boots are hard to put in you have to insert your feet into the boots a special kinda way! Bottom line I waited to long to try and get a refund. Poor design this boot is really not worth the price the other 3 pair I also bought on Amazon the cheapest was $50 now they would Cost about $70 now!

My new favorite work boot

Carhartt quit making my go to boot in black. And I scoured the internet, for years. I went so far as to contact them. I mention this because each year we are alloted $200 for boots. Union baby, yeah!Anyhoo, I digress. Each year, I have bought and returned an average of 4-6 pairs before SETTLING on one. In every case, I went back to my old beat up boots. And given the new ones to the homeless. With that kind of budget I have tried every brand; including redwing.I know that Keen uses a left and right foot mold, not the standard cookie cutter shape. My boots are required to be black and polishable. I haven't done it yet, but i could probably get them to a mirror shine. If you know what bates are, you know I can polish any leather. I got mine with a wide with, which I may not have needed because they aren't as tapered. They are more squared. I've had foot surgery for plantar fascitis, so comfort is essential and difficult to find. I wore these from day 1 for 10 hrs shifts. I'm a facilities engineer and I put them through hell. One of my favorite features is HOW they slip on. I can just step into them, no bending or assistance needed. The shaft is sturdy enough that it doesn't collapse but flexible enough not to cause leg fatigue on the lower shin. It also doesnt feel like they will fall off- no wobble. I honestly just realized I don't know if they have those little tabs to help pull them up. I've never needed them. I wore their insole for over a month before I changed it to one that is better for the foot that had surgery. The sole has done an excellent job on wet, slippery surfaces. The material is top notch; thick. I can already tell these will last years. They are slightly heavier but still better than most with a steel toe. I have not found anything I seriously don't like. I use to be a Merchant Marine and they would have exceled there too. Especially they way they slip on in an emergency and seconds count.I even wrote a post on fb the first week I had them. Time will tell and I waited before I made this endorsement. My toes are so happy.

Bozo’s

I just received and worn these work boots and they are nice nothing like the heavy steel toes I’m replacing. Fit is true to size but the pictures do not look anything as these on foot. They look like clown shoes looking down at your feet. Bulbous so beware of walking like a duck or clown in these. I wish I didn’t wear these because I would’ve returned for my money back. Only good thing there not heavy as steel toes. Other then that 👎🏽👎🏽

Just as comfortable as ones with laces

I buy work boots where I break them in at home and then transition them to work when current work boots are shot. The first pair of these were a little snug in the toe box. The replacement pair fit perfectly. I've had the first pair for about 6 months. Fairly comfortable. I like the ability to slide them on and off with no laces. They cup my feet really well and don't seem to want to pull off. Haven't had them in deep mud yet. They are pretty well broken in now. Still fitting quite well.
