The KEEN Utility Independence Oxford shoes stand out primarily due to their innovative use of materials. The KEEN Luftcell midsoles provide an unmatched level of comfort, crucial for long hours on your feet. Moreover, the shoes boast a moisture-wicking lining that helps keep your feet fresh in demanding conditions.
When it comes to safety, the composite toe design adheres to industry standards, supplying adequate protection without the added weight of traditional steel. This makes them particularly suitable for environments where comfort and safety must go hand in hand.
The waterproof feature stands as a significant advantage, especially for those encountering wet conditions at work. The KEEN.DRY membrane ensures that the shoes breathe well while keeping moisture out, making them perfect for outdoor jobs or unpredictable weather.
However, while the shoe excels in several areas, potential buyers should consider whether the aesthetics align with personal preferences, as the design might seem a bit less conventional for some.

As always, Keen's feel great from the very start! One review mentioned get a 1/2 size bigger than your normal size. It turns out that was good advice. I wear a size 12 mens, so I had to order a size 13 (No 1/2 sizes for 12 and up). The size 13's fit just fine.
Keen makes great shoes for work.
My husband, a busy mechanic, loves these shoes! He’s pretty tough on shoes, so we’ll see how long they last. The fact that they feel and fit great means a lot.
this expensive shoe was simply not worth the hype! The tongue was sewn into insides of shoe, causing a painful and thick lump on both sides of foot! Because they were desperately needed, we cut the sides of the tongue out completely!
I have worn Keens every day for many years so when I needed a pair of safety toes I tried a few of their styles. This shoe is just as comfortable as my non-safety Keens. I usually wear a 9.5 but for these I went up to a 10 wide since I wear wool work socks and they fit great. 9.5 would have been too small. Highly recommend if you have a wide foot. I also tried a pair of Timberland Pros in the wide width and they were still too narrow for me.
