Very good boots

I’ve been wearing boots practically all my life, and I will say that, without a doubt, these are by far my favorite kind. I started wearing boots back in the 80’s when I worked at a paint factory-back then my favorite boots were the black “jackboots” that I’d wear both in work and out in the town-I was into the “post-modern” scene back then(today I’d be called Goth). Since then, I’ve been wearing boots almost all the time. Well, about five years ago I started working in another chemical company and I saw these boots in a brochure that they gave me to order a pair for that job. I saw these boots in that brochure, and I fell in love with the design and the fact that they are still made in the USA, something you don’t see much of anymore. I ordered them, and after wearing them for just one day, I ordered myself an extra pair, because they were so comfortable. I also like the fact that they have a composite toe(hard toe) for factory work. I’ve since gotten more than five pairs for myself, and these will most likely be the boots that I wear for the rest of my life- they look good even when out walking around. I highly recommend these boots to everyone.

KEEN Utility Men's Braddock, aka favorite boots I've ever had.

The first pair was bought in early 2019. Its now dec 2022. It took years to wear threw the sole and a good half in of solid rubber was walked off. The final straw was steel stairs that had sharp treads from being peirced for traction. (Temporary staging, 6 stories worth of stairs, on a 8 story tall unit to my work location in the building) this took the worn out sole and made a tear, mind you, this is after a few years of solid use. I would of shortly word threw anyway so its no fault to the boot or keen. I absoutley love these boots. As a heavy construction worker, I have not found a better pair in 20 years of my trade. I've tried everything from 350 dollar usa made logger boots to the cheapest ones you can get for 20 bucks at walle mart.Tldr. These boots have been reliable, fantastic and comfortable for someone with heel spur and falling arches. I did use insoles, but regardless have been so impressed I will be buying 2 more pairs this year to make sure the next 10 years, I have my boots.Thank you keen for the American built utility hikers with hard toe and good shank 1kv rated bad ass boots 👢 KEEN Utility Men's Braddock

Good, solid work boot. Updated.

I would order a 1/2 size larger next time. The fit was a little too short, but wearable and I haven't had any issues. When they arrived, I put two generous coats of mink oil on them and let them sit for a few days. I strongly believe this has allowed them to be resistant to the hazardous chemicals I work with. I then wore them around the house doing chores, etc for a few days to break them in. I typically walk 3-5 miles per day over gravel, dirt, asphalt, and metal grating plus exposure to hazardous chemicals, so they get abused a lot. They have held up very well over the last two months. Typically, my work boots last about 3 months before they need to be replaced. I see these lasting 2 or 3 times longer.7/22/22 UpdateThese are pictures of the boots after about 8 months. The yellow spots are dried molten sulfur and the white spots are various other chemicals. I believe they held up well considering what they were exposed to. The first spot to show wear after about 5 months is the crease area where the leather flexes as you walk. After that started, the wear couldn't be stopped. I rinsed them daily with water and applied mink oil several times to help stop the wear.Highly recommended.

Super comfortable

Great work boot! I’m 3.5 months of wearing at work (power lineman, 70+ hours a week outside in right of ways)Liked them so much I bought another pair just in case. They’re holding up really well, not great for climbing wood poles, but I’m in the bucket normally these days. Water proofing is decent, can’t just stand in the water but if you’re sloshing around in ankle high puddles and mud you’re good to go. Does pretty well in the snow, but your feet will definitely get cold even with thick socks.Overall I really like em, only drawback is they’re uncomfortable to climb in, and they’re low cut so strapping on overboots (snow over boots) the strap sits right where the tongue ends (I use tingley over boots) so I ordered some 8” coburns that are also made in America and seem to be a similar design.I have a flat wide foot and steel toes have always given me issues. With keens (this style) I’ve literally forgotten that they’re safety toed. I even questioned myself when the safety man asked if they’re steel toed and EH rated. HahahaIf you’re looking for a comfortable work boot, I’d definitely give these a try.
