If you're gearing up for your next outdoor adventure, the KEEN Men's NXIS Evo Mid Height Waterproof Fast Packing Hiking Boots, presented in a sleek Triple Black, are a fantastic option to consider. Boot Model | Waterproof | Traction | Support |

Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTX | Yes | High | Good |
The KEEN Men's NXIS Evo Mid Hiking Boots stand out due to their thoughtful design and impressive performance in various conditions. The waterproofing feature is particularly noteworthy, thanks to the KEEN.DRY membrane, which effectively prevents water from seeping in without compromising breathability. This makes them an ideal choice for wet and muddy trails.
When it comes to traction, the KEEN.ALL-TERRAIN rubber outsole, coupled with 4mm multi-directional lugs, delivers outstanding grip, allowing you to navigate tricky paths with confidence. Whether hiking through slippery mud or rocky landscapes, these boots have got you covered.
In terms of support, the full-length stability shank enhances your footing, making steep ascents and descents feel secure. Additionally, the ergonomically designed toe notch allows for greater dexterity, aiding in balance and movement.
Comfort is another strong suit of these boots. The padded tongue and collar contribute to a snug yet comfortable fit, while the removable footbed and underfoot cushioning system provide the necessary spring in each step, keeping fatigue at bay for longer hikes.
However, it's important to note that some users might find the sizing to be on the smaller side, potentially requiring a size up for a perfect fit. Moreover, while the price reflects the quality, it may not be the most budget-friendly option available.

These are the best Keens so far. Great fit, not lunky. Comfortable and durable materials. I’ll buy again!
This is my fourth pair of Keens. I have mid Vents, low Voyagers and open leather sandals. These are my favorites. Light, waterproof, and comfortable out of the box. I walk 100 miles a month. The toebox looks smaller, but I do not feel a difference. I am a 13 D. They are as cool as my vents, but they just feel like tennis shoes. I appreciate a good shoe and these are after 20 miles. We will see.
I ordered a half size up and when it came it was still not big enough for a hiking sock, nor was it wide. So I sent it back and ordered another half size up. I usually wear a European 44 or a mens 10.5. In this boot I ended up keeping the mens 11.5, which is a size I have never in my life kept. But it works. The shoe is equally well constructed as other similar boots on the market which cost twice as much. Lightweight yet offers more support than trail running shoes.
I'm normally a men's size 10 shoe/boot. I had to return the size 10s and get a 10.5. I also removed the original insoles and substituted size Medium KEEN cushioned insoles for a softer feel and perfect fit in the 10.5s.These KEEN boots are lightweight, but they aren't flimsy. The upper material is synthetic, so the "feel" is different from a natural leather boot you would get from a brand like ECCO (I have worn both brands). This KEEN boot is represented as waterproof, and isn't particularly well -vented, so in my opinion it's more comfortable for the non-summer seasons. Finally, I really like the appearance... the blue, black and yellow colors stand out and the round synthetic laces are not just plain black.Other color combinations are available if you prefer a more subdued look. These KEEN boots are lightweight, sturdy and waterproof, but perhaps most enjoyable outside of the hottest months of summer and the colors really stand out for a unique appearance.
Very comfortable pair of boots, like wearing sneakers. Snug fit, order one size larger for wide feet.
Comfortable pretty much right out of the box. Just did a six mile high in them. They worked really well would recommend.
These hiking boots were very comfortable right out of the box. They are also very lightwieght, but sturdy enough for hiking rocky trails.I am on my second pair.
I really like the KEEN Nxis Evo Boots and they have good support. Excellent traction and and can handle water with no problem. They felt really good on shorter hikes, but after that there was a lot of pressure from the seems on my lateral malleolus. Hiked 13 miles with 4000' total elevation gain and about mile 8, due to the seems cutting into my ankle, I was hobbling for the rest of the hike. Mainly on my left ankle. My lateral malleolus was bruised for about a month after the hike. If your ankle bone protrudes out, I would steer clear.
