I've grown to love these little Kamik boots. I originally bought them as an extra pair for playing outside in the mud on rainy days at her Montessori preschool, when I found a pink pair last year on sale for $15. I initially thinking they might be of lower quality than the expensive bogs that I had bought in the past- but they were really quite perfect and my then 2 year old daughter preferred them. They don't have handles and that's a small drawback because I do think that helps them get them on by themselves, but she has had no trouble with these despite that (she's almot 3 and a half now). They are nice because they are slightly narrower at the leg than some other boot brands and that helps them stay on better when kids are running and playing outside as well as prevents mud and water from getting inside and getting feet wet. This could be a drawback for some kids if they have very wide legs or bulky pants ( we wear mostly leggings) but they certainly aren't skin tight - I've never had an issue with tucking pants or jeans in- just something to think about because some kids balk at things that are too tight or restrictive. This year I bought two pairs - a lavender for my daughter and a grey pair for her twin brother who wears two sizes bigger. They have all lasted perfectly well and I plan to pass the gray ones down to her when he outgrows his. I paid much more than $15 this time, but it was worth it- and they are still less expensive than bogs. I think they run fairly true to size, but I always buy one size up from their current shoe size in the summer or fall to ensure they last through the winter at least- and that usually gets me through into the early or late spring when they start getting tight. All in all a great boot and I'm pleased with my purchase. I plan to continue to buy from Kamik in the future. If you get them on sale, they are a great bargain!!!
This is the best rainboot for kids. It fits snug instead of floppy and has an actual sole, so it is great for kids to run and play even on the playground. It is still easy to manage off/on even with the good fit. I appreciate that they are made by our neighbors in Canada and not shipped from across an ocean. With two boys, we have tried plenty of hand-me-down brands, but whenever we need to buy new, this is what we get. They have good secondhand resale value on the parent groups, too.
These have been great boots for my daughter! We live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains almost daily here in the fall and winter. She's worn them for about six months almost daily to PreK and they still look great, wash nicely, and are durable. We plan on purchasing these every year for her and recently purchased some for my son and for myself as well. Great boots!
These are great sturdy rain boots that don't flop around like other brands. Fits my childs narrow feet, nice thick sole as well. Great length for puddle stomping and not getting pants wet. Buying the next size up before they are gone!
I like these much better than her Croc rainboots she previously wore. Construction and materials are the same high quality as my adult Kamik boots. Easy for me to put on and take off of my toddler, perfectly waterproof, and not so stiff she can't walk in them.
I love this boot. This is our 2nd pair. This is my 1st pair for my daughter & my only disappointment was they seemed to run small even though I had sized up. These boots are sturdy & will last a long long time. My son wore his a lot & they held up so well that we passed them onto to a friend. There is no breaking in period. He wore his several hours the 1st day & several days straight for almost 2 weeks for an outdoor creek camp. They usually dried overnight even if they had been filled with water. I waited too long & cannot return/exchange these so I am hoping my daughter can at least get a few months out of them.
These are great sturdy comfortable waterproof boots. My 18 mo daughter absolutely loves wearing them. She can put them in by herself and they don’t fall off! Plus super cute. Quality rain boot, recommended by this Seattle family!
Love them! More importantly my 3 1/2 yr old loves them. Great vibrant color, durable & comfy. Great for NY rainy Spring & Fall.
